TANABE USA DRIFT SPEC PARTS
Due to the increasing popularity of DRIFTING, and a growing demand for high quality, high endurance suspension components, Tanabe USA has released a new line of drift-specific parts for the Nissan 240SX S13/14. With the enthusiast in mind, the new line of suspension links and bushings are all track-tested and proven. Our arms and links were designed with pillow ball joints for excellent driver feedback, and solid suspension feel. Being a leader in suspension technology, we have introduced an industry-first by incorporating dust boot covers to increase the durability of the drift-spec arms and links. Also unique to Tanabe, is our new transmission bushing kit that helps in solidifying the transmission tunnel, to reduce some of the drivetrain wear associated with drifting. Our subframe crossmember bushing kit is made from 66% glass fiber and 33% ultra durable nylon. Offering a broad range of adjustability, our drift-spec parts allow the enthusiast to fine tune the suspension to their exacting needs and complement their own individual driving styles.
SUSTEC FRONT PILLOW TENSION ROD:
Broad range of caster adjustment with solid response from the pillow ball joint. This gives the driver quicker suspension feedback for enhanced handling.
SUSTEC REAR PILLOW UPPER LINK:
Solid rear upper link with a dust boot protected pillow ball joint replaces the soft factory bushings. Designed with easy bump steer adjustment via simple nut/thread design. Solid core construction allows for a firm response and a precise suspension feel.
SUSTEC REAR PILLOW CAMBER ARM:
Developed for vehicles that have been lowered or upgraded to larger diameter wheels. Our camber arms were designed to correct or add camber adjustment beyond the factory arm specifications. The pillow ball joint minimizes the amount of movement of the arms during high speed maneuvers, while the dust boot ensures high endurance and reliability.
SUSTEC REAR PILLOW TOE ROD:
Permits the adjustment of the suspension's toe setting and minimizes compliance on acceleration and deceleration from the solid spherical pillow ball joint.
REAR SUBFRAME CROSSMEMBER BUSHING KIT:
Made with our unique combination of 66% glass fibers and 33% nylon, the bushing kit was designed to work in conjunction with the factory bushings to reduce the amount of free play in the subframe bushings. This yields more responsive handling and helps to minimize wheel hop.
TRANMISSION BUSHING KIT:
Designed to brace the transmission tunnel for added durability and reduce the amount of stress placed the transmission during drifts. Allows for solid precise shifting, with minimal drivetrain wear.
New Tanabe Coilover Suspension Kit for S13 and S14
'Bai's Taste'
Tanabe Sustec Pro DD
-The rigorous demands of drifting require a rugged suspension that can handle the extreme loads that are constantly exerted upon them. Using extensive test data from professional D1 driver Kazuya "Chunky" Bai, Tanabe has developed the all new Sustec Pro DD line of coilover suspensions. Based on the track proven Sustec Pro RR, and featuring spring load adjustment, height adjustability, as well as dampening adjustment, it is the perfect coilover to balance a drift setup.
Front/Rear 4way adjustable dampening force
-4 distinct levels of dampening adjustment provide for easy suspension tuning, while eliminating unnecessary adjustments.
Super Heavy-Duty Series Spring
-Utilizes Tanabe's specialized Sustec Pro 210 springs which are extremely lightweight, anti-sagging, and can withstand the tests of time and hard driving. Heavy duty springs are capable of 2100N/mm in tensile strength.
Developed for drift
-Tanabe's research and development team joined with D1 professional driver Chunky Bai to engineer a coilover suspension made specifically for drifting applications. Sustec Pro DD provides predictable handling and maximum control during a slide. Providing controllable traction when you need it, this coilover is ideal for high speed drifts.
Locking Mechanism
-Taper Lock design to prevent movement of strut adjustments as well as increased safety by incorporating Lock Pins.
Track Tested
-Used exclusively by professional drifter Chunky Bai, and the Signal Auto twin Sileighty drift cars.
-Front pillowball mounts with camber adjustment offer additional flexibility and customization for your drift car's suspension setup.
-Rear helper springs provide traction and eliminate preload, which is a problem associated with higher compression springs.
