  • New Internet radio talk show debuts Jan 17

CKMedia Associates, LLC, producers of The DriftZone, the official video podcast of Formula Drift since 2006 and The Live Blog, the most authoritative source for realtime coverage of professional drifting competition in the U.S. will debut a new Internet radio talk show dedicated entirely to the professional drift scene, The Inside Drift, in January, 2009 to keep pro drift enthusiasts closer than ever to their favorite sport during the long dark days of winter.
Almost from the moment the motors and tires cooled at the conclusion of the final professional drift competition of the year, the professional drift community began it’s annual off-season black-out of information as teams began in earnest their preparations for the 2009 competitive season that begins at Long Beach in April. In past years, these preparations have taken place largely behind closed doors and in near secrecy. But the 2009-10 of season will be different, thanks to The Inside Drift.
The call-in style talk show will shine a bright light on preparations for the 2009 Formula Drift season. The show’s host and producer, Gary Keith, the executive producer and ”voice” of The DriftZone and The Live Blog for the past three years, will interview the top drivers and most influential personalities in the sport. Listeners are invited to call the program from any telephone, cell phone, or on computer using Skype or any other VOIP client. Listeners will join in the conversations and directly converse with the show’s host and guests.
And it all happens on a global stage as The Inside Drift will be available to anyone, anywhere there is an Internet connection available. The DriftZone and The Live Blog already have enthusiastic viewers in over 40 countries on six continents.
CKMedia has partnered with the foremost aggregator of Internet talk radio programs in the world, www.BlogTalkRadio.com/ to produce and air the one hour program each Saturday, beginning January 17, 2009 at 10:00 am PST (1:00 p.m. EST). Each program will feature an interview segment with Keith questioning a special guest live. The guest will also respond directly to questions and comments posed by listeners who call into the program by telephone, cell phone, or via their computer. Questions and comments can also be posed to the host and guest via a special chat room that will run concurrent with each broadcast.
CKMedia has been the leader in innovative and timely coverage of professional drifting in the U.S. since introducing The DriftZone video podcast in 2006 and The Live Blog in 2007,” said Keith.” We’re proud to bring yet another “first” to drift coverage with The Inside Drift, a ground-breaking form of coverage that puts drift enthusiasts in direct contact with the biggest names in the sport,” added Keith.
“We’re hopeful many of our more than a million loyal viewers, world wide will become loyal listeners and participants of, The Inside Drift,” said Keith. “We have plans to add some unique forms of presentation to our talk show format in the weeks to come and we invite our listeners to add their suggestions,” added Keith. “After all, this is an entirely new kind of coverage for the sport and we intend to make it as cutting edge and engaging as possible. We want our listeners to add their voice, literally and figuratively to this exciting new media.
The Inside Drift will air live each Saturday, but each hour long program will be archived as well so the programs will be accessible on an on-demand basis at any time.
Listeners can access the live broadcast and the program archives at www.BlogTalkRadio.com/the_inside_drift or they can listen to the show on www.thedriftzone.com/liveblog. They can also subscribe to the program, access a RSS feed, and even download a free cut and paste flash player script they can embed on their own website, blog, Myspace or Facebook profile. A list of guests for the first month of the program will be published in the first week of January, 2009 and listeners are encouraged to write to the program’s producers to suggest or request a guest at; inside.drift@yahoo.com.
