@amass17 I’m definitely not bashing on your comment but I don’t think he was underpowered. He’s well over 800hp and has THE ONE AND ONLY Stephan Papadakis. The problem is the FD judging favoritism. This season was definitely his and it was taken from him. You really can’t question his cars power when you get smoke results like his

Ya I know what you mean. But he Daigo Saito had 400hp over Aasbo and I think that the gap he cause in his lead run was because of this. I’m not questioning his 800hp but I think if he had more power the gap would’ve been closed completely. Do you get what I’m trying to say? @cathy_pants

@amass17 I definitely get what you’re trying to say but you’ve got to look at the overall season and not just FDIrwindale. Point wise, lines and overall should’ve gotten him the win this season. Power is definitely a factor for the gap but, remember, a chase car is to follow the leads lines; Whether or not the leads lines inconsistency or flaws throws off the chase could be a factor. He also had car troubles this weekend. Definitely a lot of things to take in to consideration. Either or we all know who the real champion is this season. #ChampionAasbo

@amass17 @cathy_pants he definitely had a lack of power this season, there’s no question there. If he had more hp he would never get left behind at all. He’s an AMAZING driver and it definitely shows in the fact that he hasn’t had more problems this far with a four cylinder engine and if you say that power didn’t have much to do with the fact that he couldn’t chase as aggressively you’re kidding yourself. I would love to see him drive with a V8. He knew was he was in for though

@kimmierognlie you must be comparing him to a V8 driver in which case OF COURSE there is a big power difference. But that’s also YOUR personal opinion in his “lack of power”; to others, the amount of power he is putting down is well more than qualified to put anyone in their place. I’m clearly stating that power isn’t the ONLY factor in his driving. Be sure read a comment throughly before you decide to bash someone for “kidding themselves”. -With Love, A fan that doesn’t think he needs a V8 to win.

@amass17 yes, yes he certainly is. I find it funny that @cathy_pants is saying to think of the whole season when in all reality, if you did that, who has had it since the beginning? Aasbo came and took it by storm but nonetheless I see the consistency of 11 years of competing in formula drift by Chris Forsberg and the fucking AMAZING season he’s had, getting 5/7 podiums but yeah we all know who the champion is right?

@amass17 Ryan Tuerck was the first drifter I ever watched that actually made me want to learn more. It was watching him that kind of guided me into the world of drifting and from there, I loved Forsberg from the beginning. From the first time I watched him hit clipping points with the most INSANE proximity I was hooked

@kimmierognlie No ones getting their panties in a bunch here but YOU. The person that decided they should call folks out on a biased judgment when we are clearly stating what we think are some key issues to this season in an adult manner. Biased judgment as in you’re much more of a fan of v8s as compared to anything else. I really suggest you read thoroughly before you start coming in to conversations guns out. Be the mature adult you know you are and keep the comment section as positive as possible.

And correction @cathy_pants you were calling him out in a “nice way” trying to say you disagree with him, just because I said my opinion bluntly doesn’t change anything. @amass17 and I seemed to be on the same page and you don’t get it, he’s just really nice or didn’t feel like arguing to further explain his point.

@cathy_pants power is what lost him the championship. And I knew that was going to happen as soon as they said Saito would go against Aasbo if they both made final 4. Daigo doesn’t have 1/4th the skill of Aasbo. He kept proximity because even sideways he has the power to drag the TC. And that showed when he led. His lines aren’t smooth, he was nowhere near as close on the clips and fills, and his transitions are sloppy. He looks like a badass, because he has power. Before he brought a 1200hp car to the battles, I never knew who he was, and I’ve been following this stuff for 10years. #neverbeenasaitofan #thereshouldbea1000hpcap #formulaDRIFThasturnedintoformulaDRAG in MY OPINION Aasbo with 1000hp will be untouchable in the USA. Period.

@kimmierognlie I definitely appreciate your enthusiasm for cars. We need more of that from women. I just wanted to respond to your comment as it would be rude for me to not restate my points that may have been missed. We are all entitled to our own opinions and how you decipher my comment is up to you. I am definitely not taking it personally. If a lengthy, detailed comment makes it aggressive, then that was not my intent at all. Don’t keep your opinions to yourself, just don’t automatically assume responses are attacks. Thanks.

@cathy_pants yes thank you for that, I definitely agree 110% that women need to be more involved and take my back talk as part of my enthusiasm because I’ve never loved any kind of organized sport as much as I love drifting so I take things personally at times too. If we were in person it would be so much easier, things get skewed over text. I wasn’t trying to sound bitchy, only matter of fact. If you knew me as a person it would all make more sense but I definitely won’t be keeping comments to myself any time soon
