GT LIVE MAKES FIRST EAST COAST APPEARANCE

LOS ANGELES (July 31) – On October 6-8, 2006 GT LIVE crashes into the East Coast with an unparalleled line-up of motorsports and sport-compact excitement. Burning up the pavement at the beautiful and recently renovated VIRginia International Raceway, GT LIVE teams up, once again, with the Grand American Road Racing Series to provide fans with three days of unmatched automotive fun in the premier interactive motorpsorts festival in the country.

VIR's unique circuit layout permits two separate road course configurations to run simultaneously during the three-day festival. Grand Am Cup will run two separate 6-hour races on the main 3.27 mile road course. In between Grand Am track time, fans will be able to experience the main circuit first-hand with a hot lap in one of our famous GT or time attack cars in the GT Sim Race.

Also appearing on the main circuit will be the unlimited class time attack cars in Round 2 of the GT Track Attack where some of the fastest modern-day Asian muscle cars in the world will battle for fastest lap time honors. In the two-wheel department, death and physics defying moves from top East Coast motorcycle riders will tear up the front straight in Round 2 of the US Stunt Riding Championship. Capping off main road course activities on both Friday and Saturday evenings, four different sports car classes will shoot it out in a USERA endurance race.

While the main course is getting a perpetual thrashing, the 1.1 mile "Patriot" circuit, which runs inside the main course, will host non-stop drifting and racing action. Slideways mayhem will erupt in an exciting US Drift Shootout that is sure to please drifting fans and competitors alike. When the cars aren't getting sideways, street class tuner cars will shoot it out for the best times in Tarzan's Lap Battle. This amateur time attack event gives tuners a safe and exciting environment to test their machines against each other in a one-up, timed lap format. The top three lap times in each of the six categories (Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Subaru, Mitsubishi and Subaru) will have the option to turn their cars over to the capable hands of time attack king and Tsukuba Circuit Champ, Tarzan Yamada, where he will attempt to beat the winning time set by the car owner in their own car. Winners can look forward to impressive media coverage and Tarzan will provide feedback and tuning recommendations on each car he drives.

In addition to all the activities on both of the outstanding road racing circuits, the world-class VIR facility also provides a dedicated and challenging rally course where we will hold the GT LIVE Rally-X presented by NASA Rally Sport. Fans who aren't driving in one of the competition oriented activities are welcomed to cruise over to the state-of-the-art VIR Karting Zone and jump in a kart to do battle with friends and other GT LIVE guests.

Off the various circuits, GT LIVE will have plenty of other things to do and see including the first-ever International Spoon Sports Festival, a NCCA sanctioned Car Show and a Custom Bike Show.

Just like the first GT LIVE in 2004 in which the LA Times declared, "Weekend festival at California Speedway draws an estimated 45,000 who find plenty of things to do and little opportunity for boredom.", GT LIVE participants and fans coming to Virginia in October will be treated to a feast for their senses through the constant excitement and entertainment that defines the GT LIVE experience.
