Widely regarded as one of the best Drifting tracks in Europe. For 2011 JDM-Drift Allstars would return to its roots where it all began back in 2008.

For the first time JDM-Drift Allstars European series was the start of a new era. No better venue could have hosted the opening round with so much history at this venue. Thousands of fans packed into the venue with record numbers showing that drifting is growing fast in the north east of the UK. The competition was action packed as ever, with some of Europe’s top drivers going door to door battling at the event.

The opening event showcased intense twin battle tandem driving all day with the spectators rising to their feet on many occasions with the intense action .The consulation place/ third place play off was a battle between Ian Philips in his new V8 powered R33 DD Racing Skyline Skyline Vs James Dean in his LBD Racing Nissan S13. Deane on his first UK appearance with his new team was in devasting form all day taking the top qualifying position also on the day. Philips stuck to Deane through the first corner, but it was the forward traction and speed of Deanes LBD Rockstar Energy S13 which gave him the advantage. In the second run Deane shadowed the rookie driver Philips all the way round and secure the final podium position of the day.

In the final it was Martin Ffrench in his Wexican motorsports Toyota Altezza who took the win after a very close fought battle with fellow countryman and UAE Drift champ Nigel Colfer.By the narrowest of margins Ffrench won securing a lockout on the podium with a top 3 finish for Ireland.
