    hi yall!
    alittle about me...
im not into the drifting thing... yet. i have 2 other hobbies that are taking most of my "free" cash. the first and most expensive is drag racing my harley sportster. the second is target shooting with my 3 ruger 10/22's.
anyhow. i "recieved" a well used 96 zx6r that was totaled out and i was thinking of fabricating a fram for it, larger than a "go cart" that you see at "fun" parks and such but smaller that a "car". the sole reason for this is:
    a. i have a running but totaled 600cc powerplant w/ 6 speed gearbox.
    b. i can fabricate stuff/ weld/ machine parts etc.
    c. i have always wanted to do something like this.
    d. it would be "a hoot" to "drive.

the basic design is very simple.
no suspension. the rear axle is a solid steel rod. with 1 small brake disc (from the bike). the front brakes work independent of each other via hand controls from a motorcycle (they do make brake and clutch controls with the same bore/output/ internal parts) that would act on small disc's at each front wheel- left lever works left front wheel, same for the right. the rear brake, clutch and throttle would be pedals just like my truck or anyother car with a manual trans. speaking of trans, im thinking electric over air or push button shifting as my hands will be tied up with steering and front braking. the chassie will be very simple and safty will have a large part of it in its design. the wheels and tire will be larger than "racing" karts but much smaller than "car" tires. 20-22" lawn and garden style tractor wheels come to mind...
also. it must fit in the bed of my truck (ranger short bed). since the motor is air/oil cooled (the radiator is trash on the bike now) i must find a replacment (not the $500 kawasaki replacement), but the oil cooler is ok as far as i can tell. as i see it this will be an impressive thing to build. it will be hard to figure out wieght and balance but i know people in chassie desing/fab area.
    anyhow, what do yall think?
