  • Clutch-Type vs. Torque Biasing Differentials

    Hey people,

Just bought a s13 hb and was looking into LSD's. I was going from my collection of sport compact car and found an article where they swapped in automatic torque biasing differential from Quaife to their s13. You can read more about it here:

    http://www.quaife.co.uk/products/atbdifferentials.htm

My question is this though. Even though in a race-setting this type might be more benefical (and easier to control, would a clutch-type be better in drifting situation since you prefer less traction relatively. Someone let me know, I'm weighing my options here. Thanks

For drifting, you will more likely than not, want a clutch-type diff.

For grip, people tend to prefer other styles (quaife, torsen, etc.).
