Kyle Mohan Discusses his 20B Rotary Engine at Formula Drift Long Beach (2023) The center plate,  the thick cast iron plate is now going on its fourth season in Formula Drift. They are a rare component it's amazing to get that kind of lifespan out of them and I do relap them every year oh and that does actually remind me I did replace the front cast iron plate cast iron housing um it ended up I got to a point where I was lapping that front plate and and it exceeded the tolerances I like to go to in the form of lapping so instead pushing the limits of that for no reason that's now on my shelf I can get back to that later but according to my data and what I've seen in the past we kind of Hit the limit of what I would want to cut off of that front plate so I did put a new Fresh 20b ported uh WPC treated front plate on there to match the other components.
