mark.byram.33 21 September, 2016 at 14:31 Reply 20-50s abit thick isnt it @ryantuerck ? Unless she has a few ks/miles on her id be running thinner
ajr21_ 21 September, 2016 at 14:36 Reply 20-50 is the temperature at which the oil actually breaks down to lubricate not thickness.
88stangz 21 September, 2016 at 14:38 Reply Isn’t that old too thick to get into the small little holes in the motor specially bearings????? I would love to try it out but my motor says 10w-30??? Thanks 4 the help
ajr21_ 21 September, 2016 at 14:44 Reply If you beat on your car as hard as he beats this car you should run 20-50
bennalley 21 September, 2016 at 14:53 Reply To everyone saying it’s too thick, I run the exact same thing in my big turbo S13. That thick of an oil is essential with the amount of heat a small displacement, big turbo produces. If you run thinner and frequently beat on the car, you will then run possible rich of boiling the oil and dry spinning bearings and such.
outlawmalli 21 September, 2016 at 14:55 Reply The only oil Iv ever used. Big blocks, small blocks, turbo, nitrous, NA. VR1 has never let me down
ronnythemonster 21 September, 2016 at 14:59 Reply @ajr21_ that is incorrect, sir. 20-50 is the viscosity or “thickness” of the oil! 20 is the viscosity at 32* and 50 is operating temps.
kalgibb 21 September, 2016 at 15:01 Reply @bennalley exactly! I was wondering if someone was going to understand the weight of it. I run VR1 in my AMC powered Jeep and it’s been nothing but awesome.
dreadbolt12 21 September, 2016 at 15:41 Reply Best conventional oil I’ve ever used hands down!! #valvoline #isthebest
nfg_kash 21 September, 2016 at 15:45 Reply What are the internal specs of the engine (bottom end preferably) also is it GTE or vvti?
tygixxer60 21 September, 2016 at 17:08 Reply Lol really have to look to see those tools @chrisforsberg64
tomodrift 21 September, 2016 at 17:33 Reply @ryantuerck @chrisforsberg64 that’s a hell of a large oil cooler. I thought it was a radiator.
tylorpetit 21 September, 2016 at 17:38 Reply Shoutout mf valvoline we really out here @liammcroberts @bennyslife
flexxinsrt 21 September, 2016 at 18:49 Reply @ryantuerck is that what you use in your competition car? And why not use the vr1 synthetic?
mike_kidd84 22 September, 2016 at 21:59 Reply @ryantuerck oil temps stay low with that cooler? Seems like it would be hard for it to move air against the shock support there
alejandro_vi_subie 23 September, 2016 at 09:25 Reply @mike_kidd84 puller fan on engine side. Well I’m assuming puller. Pusher would flow engine heat onto core
