Pretty cool to have my dad stop by and give me a hand on the vette today. He was the one who introduced me to racing, mechanical work, fabrication, and building just about everything. I was probably 12 years old, when I asked my dad to build me a rail for skateboarding. He said no, and I replied “why not?” He told me, “You want one, you build it.” And there I was, at 12 years old chopping steel box and attempting to weld it up. I made the pieces stick together, it wasn’t pretty, and I also welded a dick on it. But it served it’s purpose and was a nice glimpse into fabrication. Little did I know, those skills learned that day would transpire into what I am doing today. Building the best damn drift car I possible can. Great to spend the day with you Dad.
