So for those that really keep hoping the next post will be a painted car….. this is why your going to be disappointed the joys of fiberglass and mix match of kits, nothing lines up and nothing fits. There is no way we can just slap the car together to get it over the line. So the rear bumper has been chopped and pulled then re-glassed to get the panel gaps to where they should be! It’s honestly all about the small details if they aren’t bang on now they will stand out like a sore them when it’s in paint Swipe through to see how it should look 🏻 ️ ️ ️ ️ ️ ️ ️ ️ ️

This is crazy man I’m not disappointed one bit.
@primo.photography cheers mate 🏻
@t800oms any chance we can see the back. Ive got a bumper id like to fix and curious in how you did it as looks mint
@project_r32 drop me a dm mate I will see what I can sort for you!!
I bet the body shop cant wait to be done with this one
@project_r32 is it fibreglass? It wouldn’t be too hard Bondo actually makes a fibreglass repair kit. I believe it comes with the mesh, glass, and resin
@j.rollz_ haha how did you guess?
Very True!!
@t800oms because im a journeyman autobody tech. These full custom inside and outside full blown detail jobs are always a headache And then onece you do something this detailed the customer will be calling you for rest of their life about every little thing. Lol gonna be sweet when done but hard to explain to the customer why their paintjob and body work ended up being 30k after every little thing they wanted adressed it adds up quickly
I know all about that! Did a lot of work with my kit to get everything fitting well and nice even and small gaps 😎 Nice work!!
@j.rollz_ too true, but again it’s something cool to be involved in and when you can look back and say yeah I did that! It’s also a great advertisement for any business to show just how capable they are 🏻
@grapplergarage it’s worth the time I think 🏻
For real 🤣. Fiber glass be sexy and hard to freaking fit in!
@t800oms true I did a couple cars for pebble beach, sema, and Barrett Jackson, graveyard cards. Just stressful and a lot of dealing with super picky people that arent always knowledgeable about what it takes or time involved. Unfortunatly we dont always get paid for all the extra details. Although getting to meet and be involved with people like Carol Shelby and chip foose are highlights of my career
@t800oms absolutely
@j.rollz_ that’s insane im no carol Shelby or chip goose but hopefully the car does everyone involved proud and gets to some decent shows 🤞🏻
Appreciate level detail going into this build 🏼🏼
@t800oms it will bro anytime you take that much time doing something people will flock to it because not only are they impressed with the quality and attention to detail but they are impressed with the time a dedication it takes to take a project so far. Iv been obsessed with my dimple dies since they showed up lmao.
@j.rollz_ thanks for the kind words mate! Fingers crossed, I can’t wait to get it across the line now!
@moir28 thanks mate 🏻
Nice! Doing the same thing for my Impreza replica. What are you using for filler? Are you guys going to mold anything to the body?
That’s the only reason I follow this build. Thank you for your attention to detail. Thank you for taking your time and not half assing
@datniggafranklin I would love to be able to take the credit for all of this but the guys over @autocorrectbodyrepair are the ones smashing this out 🏻
@mosworrld no mate nothing moulded, don’t want to risk it cracking after 6 months
Shit takes time, it’s not like the TV shows people. We restored a 60 Cadillac and had 2300 shop hours into it.
@k_courtright 100% this! Nothing get built in two weeks and if it does don’t look closely
Rome wasn’t built in a day ! 🤪
I totally agree, so many people slap body kits on and don’t take the time to@make the panels look good. I’ve been working on 240sx coupe for a while now because I’m doing the bodywork on my free time and want the kit to actually match the factory bodylines.
@conjay240 <—- this guy knows 🏻🏻
Do it right, do it once.
In the same boat as you, the issue is that everything is instant these days and it clearly shows in the work. Patience is key especially when you have a name to upkeep. Good work Good sir🏼🏼
