And having the know how and resources. The stock oiling system is so good it doesnt even need to be upgraded most the time. It really is an awesome engine though

And the 2ar can hold a reasonable good rod/stroke ratio. Its not a revver its a torque monster it makes like +800hp and 700tq. If the rod/stroke ratio was bad toyota wouldnt put it in their town cars cause engine longevity would suck and toyota isnt about that

yaboymikeyb 17 September, 2014 at 06:35 Reply @justingthurmond i forgot to tell you , im pretty late but… The engine uses a 108mm crank (4.1/4 inch) and a 6.2 inch chevy smallblock rod. The formula equates it to a 1.46:1 rod/stroke ratio. Not amazing but not horrible either. Thats a huge stroke for a 4 banger though. Pretty neat they have a common con rod though that works.

I gotta say that the overall approach and idea of this project is Rad, Rwd tc w/ 800hp 4cyl. BRILLIANT!!! I wish i could run it up pikes peak!!!
