  • 86 Conquest. 2.6liter turbo rwd in Oregon.

I've got an 86 Chrysler Conquest. The car HAD a 16g on it, but the turbo grenaded. Right now, it doesn't have a turbo on it...If I can find one, I'll slap it on. The compressor turbine came off of the exhaust turbine's shaft, and the exhaust turbine came out the downpipe. The compressor turbine is trashed, but everything else on the turbo looks great.
Comes with extra injectors, extra mass air sensor, and a few other things.
The compressor housing has no marring or scratching on it, so it could be fixed with a rebuild kit.

The car and motor have just over 100k on them. The car ran GREAT before the turbo went kapoot. It also has a racetep head on it, installed by the previous owner. The car was extremely quick from a roll. The car right now is running open downpipe (the exhaust was rusted to hell. You can have it with the car if you'd like). The cat was gutted by the previous owner.

It has the LSD rear end, and is a TSI, so it's the widebody with IC. Interior is about 7/10. The back seat has a few tears in it, but the fronts look great, no rips. The interior could use a good detailing.

Car has power mirrors, power windows, ac (belt off), tape/radio with equilizer, radio controls on steering wheel. It's red, and the body is in pretty good condition.

Known problems: Clutch slips a bit, but still grabs. Needs a turbo (obviously) or rebuild kit. Body is a bit oxidized, but the paint still looks good (from what I can tell). Idles a bit rough, I'm almost 100% sure it needs injector clips.

Right now that's all I can think of. Car has stock 16" wheels, with almost brand new Falken Ziexs on them ($400 set of tires)

I'm taking offers right now. The car IS NOT DRIVABLE. It needs either a turbo rebuild kit (a little over $100) or a new turbo.

I'm looking for either cash offers, or trades. Very open to trades, so tell me what you've got. I don't have any pics of the car, but I will try to get them. This would be a badass project car, or a very nice daily driver/cruiser. I'd hate to see the car get parted out, or used to finish another Starquest since it's in such good condition.

Thanks guys. I'm located in The Dalles, Oregon.

This car WILL get you noticed where ever you go. I've had people ask me if it's a porsche, if it's a delorean, and all sorts of other cars. Always have gotten compliments.

Damn, I want a 510 really bad too...

Does it run? Condition of exterior? Interior?

Very interested, and I'd like to work something out...

If your car runs, and can make it up to Oregon, I should have the Quest running again soon so it'd be drivable back to CA...

Guys...don't miss out on this oppurtunity. Not that many know the true potential of this car, and let me vouch, this makes an excellent drift car without many additional mods needed. I used to drive an 87 (88-89 ecu). I had many upgrades done to it by top end performance http://www.racetep.com/starenginepart.htm and was very happy with the car. It was a total 5.0/z28 killer off the line. It's torque is very efficeint (even at stock) and has a great stock LSD.
I was running a non-jet valve head, wild grind cam, 20G turbo, 2.5" piping (no cats), RC over-sized injectors (primary and secondary), and some other internals as well. I spent about 10,000 on upgrades, and well worth it. I still have an old turbo magazine from the mid 80's debuting the starion with the RX7's doors blown on the ground. Although it weighs roughly around 3929lb's, it's suspension and torque make up well for it especially in autocrossing and of course, drifting. I was involved with the San Diego Starions and might have seen cars from there in past performance articles (tony waldrop's award winning starion, and Hypersport's 10 second starion). Damn, I miss that car. I would totally buy it, but he's way too far.

With this car when the 16g was still on it and working, I had it at 12 psi. Only other mods were open DP, tep head, and I think it has an aftermarket fuel pump because it's kinda loud.

Anywho, the car stuck nose to nose with a 6 spd TT Supra till the middle of third when we both shut down. Even though the Supra was stock, I was *Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored*ing stoked.

Get this car and turn it into an absolute monster

Yes, I'm hoping we can work something out.

If you can get the car drivable up to northern Oregon, I'm sure we could work something out where I meet you in souther Oregon or something.

Hell yeah! Starquests have lots of balls. When I had mine with a td05 14g at 14psi, I would put a hell of a fight constantly with my band member's TT FD. I blew so many turbos because of laziness. The manual boost controller I was using was a 10 dollar one. It was actually an aquarium airpump valve =P. I really should have invested in a real one seeing that the hose connecting the boost controller to the wastegate would always come off allowing the turbo to wind up out of control. But the extra horse power during those times was god like---- well, until I had oil coming out from my intercooler and a whining compressor. That sh1t sounded like a freakin runaway train! Chooo Chooooooo

WHY ARE YOU GETTING RID OF THIS MONSTER ANYWAY?! I regret getting rid of mine, although, I am looking around for another one in my area. What ECU are you running in it? The stock 86 ECU?

I'm selling because my interests are changing. I'm looking at getting a bike soon, and I need the extra money.

I'd really like this car to go to someone who's going to push it to it's full potential. When I hung with that Supra, I knew that this car could do big, big things in the right hands.

I just feel that I'm not the right hands

Yes I'm running the stock 86 ecu, I was eventually going to add more injectors into the OVC pipe.
