coming out of sonic today, early this morning, I had to steer to one side or the other, to avoid bottoming my font end(low gutter!), and when I turned around, gave it a little gas, and countersteered(I was going the other way from where I turned first) and slid out onto the street, across both lanes, and swore I was going to spin, cuz I must have been at a 80 degree angle with the street, but just kept feathering the gas, and pulled smoothly out of it. those are the moments that make this sport worth all the while , I just wish I could've had a camera behind me.

^ So...let's get this straight, you complain that people are ruining the sport and that idiots are bringing undue heat on us all and yet you talk about drifting in front of cops and in parking lots while endangering others around you. Yeah, way to go you anus clown. I hope you crash...or Johnny Law busts the crap out of you...or your car gets stolen.

hey, it was once, and i am never the one complaining about drifting on the street. yes, tracks are good, but in places like CO, there is no track so we have to make our own. so we use roads and parking lots. it wasnt like the guy was driving or anything like that. he was just sitting there and i actually didnt know there was anyone in the car till afterwards. as far as wrecking goes, i dont care if i do crash cause i will just fix my car and keep sliding. drifting in front of cops is stupid, and i never said there was a cop there. i was on my way home from getting food, dropped the clutch and slid around the jeep then left. i wasnt attacking anything someone else did, or saying i do it all the time. but tell me one thing, have you ever drifted where someone else saw? the looks you get are outragously funny. im sure we have all spun our tires at a stoplight or squeeled them around a corner or something of that nature. well this is not much different.

Ya, there are no tracks that we can really use(for drifting, or for any private races) here in CO, because if there was, I'd be there all the time. I love seeing the looks on peoples faces when ya slide it out on sidestreets, especially when someone turns behind you, and you get it out nice and wide, and when you bring it back, and look in the mirror, they sometimes completely stop in the middle of the road. Not that it's a good thing at all to do around others, but it sure is funny.

Lately, here in Colorado, where I live, we just got some snow here, so it's cool to slide it out, but don't be too crazy, and blame it on the snow, ya know, "I'm not used to driving on the snow yet Officer"(if ya get pulled over), That's what I can probably get away with since I just got my license a little while ago.

also, I'm sure silverghost does this too, but I love getting away from all the city worries of the streets and others, and just take a slide ride in the Rocky hills near us.

It's sweet, some of the corners going up Glen Haven to Estes are so tight, but banked reall good, and you can hold the sweetest corners there. and the switchbacks, if ya feather it, you can get some serious smokies goin' up 'em, then sharpely countersteer just in time, and whip around the pendelum turn to slide up and around the next one, and keep the best controll while doin' all this. I'm sure most of you have no clue of what I'm talking about, but if you've seen Initial D, it's that kind of stuff.

Drifting is different AND safer than street racing!

I don't know if your talkin' to me, but I don't really know anyone in my area that is into drifting, they're all still stuck up on Fast& Furious wannabe FWD's & street draging, so for the most part, I'm a loner here, and do pretty much all my driving/racing/drifting by myself, which in some ways is good, and bad.

yea theres mostly dsms here, and then the hondas...anyways u have to go higher in to get the good turns, cuz the roads around the reservoir are kind of straight...but nice turns at the ends of those stretches...maybe mdm knows what im talkign about

When I get back to the states for college, I hope the states won't be infested by silvias AND hondas.

I've seen enough silvias here in japan. I HATE THEM!
well their Great cars don't get me wrong, but i get tired of seeing soooo many of them.
thier like the street racing hondas of the states, DAMN civics.
so when I get back to the states, I'll maybe get a lancer or impreza, get rid of the front driveshaft, lock the center diff, get a 2 way rear diff, body kit and BAM, my own unique drift Lancer Evolution VIII or Impreza STi
