  • Drift STi???

    I was at a subi dealer today. The new STi is amazing and has active enter diff.. that can split power 35 front 65 area says the sales guy.. I asked about drifting, he ownes one said probably possible..

    I wana drift free like RWD but i live in Michigan. I own many RWD but most sit in winter and are covered.. its hard having so many car. ANd the car here they not good, can not find good old import FR.. many mustangs and they well i dunno , Dont like them.

    Any how please post your feeling on the STi and if there is drift ones or how good they do? I know there has to be some D.D people who know..

    team orange has a new 2005 wrx sti but they had to convert it from awd to rwd

      to make it competitive would take a big budget, but for fun your better off starting with a wrx since you can just weld the diff.

        get rid of the front driveshaft and lock the center diff and you got a FR Subie

            sti is different, it has and adjustable center diff, the wrx doesnt have any of that electronic crap

              Yeah but could you replace the differential in the housing? Or maybe somehow tinker with the electronics to make it 100& to the rear? Just some thoughts

                subaru has the most complicated wiring ever so i dont think tricking the computer is gonna be anything easy and i dont think the center diff is adjustable 100 percent to the rear

                      i remember an old scc artice that showed you a way to convert an wrx from awd, to rwd and than back when you wanted too. might wanna skim through them. it was for one of the older street car challenges so ya check up on that people, cause im intrested 2

                        Read the article a few times. Good explanation. However, the company that made the conversion, Design Craft Fabrication, either doesn't exist or has any information.

                          design craft exists, they built calvins g35, and i think did some of the work on the rsr s2000
