Qs to Ks swap

Well, after a year of practicing on this car .. 1993 silvia Ks and shakan ending in octoberish.. I am planning on swapping and buying another silvia.. I would like a Kouki

My question moslty to driftextreme probably is how difficult is it to obtain a
shakan from a Q model with SR20DE and swap it for whats in my K car DET??

would it be recommended to just get the shakan with the DE then do the swap?
would cops ever look? would they even know?

any help is great. .. due to my last off track excursion on DEC [sekia hills] turn one. I need to start looking at a replacment car. I can do the swap myself and have space for it... just curious on price of legalizing it ect..

two ways to do this. You do the swap and have the Haiki or engine cc added durung shaken. It cost like 1700 yen for this. The other is like you said do the shaken and then do the swap then next shaken do the Kaisohenko. Im duing the 20b in my 7 and as long as I pass emisions with the smog pump and the cat every thing is fine. Hell I could use a stollen engine if I wanted and never even sweat it. first, domo arigatou for your quick response. I know I can pick up a Q Zenki for 5man but needs shaken.. so I thought maybe saving to get the shaken first.. who knows the condition of the car 2 years from now.. haha my other concern is if I were to strip my K car totally down.. even taking doors engine trans ect.. what would be desponsal cost on that? and do I need to put the Q engine in that for someone to take it?

Also, What part of Japan are you located? I am in fukuoka area. for the past year i have been the only foreigner to be a member of sekia ,dec until my buddy signed 2 weeks ago.

On a side note.. do you ever come by some NAVI / DVD movie / MP3 style players? If so, in future Im sure Ill be
wanting to pick one up.

I bet you walk right up to the cop and slam your head on the desk and tell him to visit drifting.com. If you think thats bad, check out our local law that requires ANY vehicle with ANY modification to get a special inspection sticker called Recon. If you dont have the sticker, then the cops can give you a $55 ticket for just driving on the street. The recon regs were written back in the 70's and have not been updated, so mostly everything will fail. The office is only open like 5 hours a day and it costs $15 each time they reject you. I think this law is only in Hawaii (rest of the US does not have to deal with this). But the good part is we have no emissions. hehe!

my mom had to pay 8,000 yen for 2300cc...but yeah its a pain in the a$$...i only had to pay 3,000 yen for my weak altima lol...just for its cc though

WTF is that on the base price out here (off base) its like for my camero 120000 yen for shaken and my yearly moter vehical tax it 86000 yen. and my Fd is 80000 yen for shaken and the yearly is 62000 yen. damn I want a y plate

here in CO, all mods are illegal, and you cant go through inspection to get a sticker that says they ar legal.....so im screwed either way, so i let my car be street illegal. they cant make me rework my entire suspension and stuff like that so fuc em.

About 80000 for the shoken and another 62000 for the yearly tax. I have 3 cameros and 2 trans ams and 2.5 corovetts. Plus a pile of JDM
