I was going to say use what you got, but it would be tough with an auto, but you got your ebrake and thats good enough...
if you want to visit a site that rocks instead of discriminating what ride you have, go to DGTRIALS.COM We had someone drifting an auto Camry station wagon
be warned, we are a little rough and we dont give a shiiit about S15's AE86 with silva conversion crap and blah blah blah, we just have fun sliding...dont get scared, enjoy

drifting an fr takes lots of learning how to control the throttle, how to brake, and driving skill....i garantee that if you pulled the ebrake at 70-80 mph in a corner, you would just slide off the road......ebrake works around the 20-30 mph, but not much higher....i dont know about the other guys on this board, but i touge drift, so im talking 60-70+ mph slides....
**im sorry if this offends anyone, im just kinda fired up right now....

hey, I am on youre side, I say drift anything as long as your having fun.
Silverghost, you "toegay" drift at 60-70?
FF drift at 20-30? hahaha, you dont get out much. If for some reason you had some video of some of your 70MPH drifting, I might not laugh anymore.
Here is a video of someone ebraking and sliding uncontrollably in a civic

Chachi, I thought you didn't like this site full of *Censored**Censored**Censored* clowns as you so maturly put it. How old are you and what do you drive? No need to get pissy because someone else did. Also you are telling him to go to that site because this on is rough on new people and then in the same paragraph you tell him you guys are rough and don't give a shiit. Smart one there. Al_hounes, no need for that. What you said instigated everything else down this thread.
I think you can drift an AWS Prelude. The AWS doesn't come into play until a certain degree of steering which is equal to a parking degree. You won't get into the AWS unless you are in a TIGHT corner. At that point, it could become hairy. I also think you can disable that and have it normal. As for drifting a FWD, you will need higher entry speed if you plan to do it with no e-brake and a quick weight transfer. You will have to jerk that wheel. E-braking requires just as much skill as any other sliding. Just a different kind of skill. So don't let anyone bash on that. It all takes balls firstly, after the balls comes the skill.
Slide what you want. As for DGtrails, check em out. You should check out every forum when starting out. There are going to be different people there that will have different ways of doing things. Listen to everyone then take information relevant to what you want to do and make your own style. There is a guy here that slides an Escort wagon. Everywhere has people sliding everything, no one site has the market cornered.

Oh yea and Chachi I checked out your site and you say you don't give a crap about s-15's and ae-86's with Sr swaps. THats funny because your technical threads are nothing but 240 related material and 4age stuff. Also you got a guy talking bout SR swaps into FC's. Comon man, don't bash a site and try to make it look stupid for having content on it that the site you recommmend has loads of as well. Yea go to a site that doesn't hate on what ride you have but yet they don't give a crap about s'15's and Corollas with Sr swaps and they are rough on you for it. That's a double negative, much like the other one you had in there. Lol.

What I meant about us not caring about S15's AE86 etc is that we dont concentrate on the whole "whats cool in drifting" in general. All these people I read are so crazy about S13.5's whats 180sx, Kouki whats not, FF cant drift thats not a real Silvia etc...we just use what we have. We dont argue about a guy putting a 180sx sticker on a car even though its not a real 180, seems like to much tech talk for people that probably dont even drift. we just have fun.
We do still refer to the cars to what they actually are though. we use S13, SR20, AE86 etc to refer to the cars and engines etc...but its cause we drive the hell out of them, not to sound like the drift king
Also, about the roughness, I meant when we curse each other out and make fun of each other, its out of love and we all know it, its like a family. Like when you can make fun of a friend and not get punched for it. When people talk trash here, they seem to mean it.
oh and I drive a 240sx (what else)Last edited by Chachi; 02-08-2004, 10:30 PM.

Understood. We are trying to make this site better for everyone involved. Didn't mean to be harsh. We just have this type of thing pop up sometimes and it's better to nip it in the bud fast before it gets out of hand.
Welcome to the site. Hope you hang around cause it's getting nothing but better.
