I am freakin suprised of the Vote results.

Majority of the ppl here are from CALI. They dont have any reason not to practice @ Drift Day programs.

*History will repeat itself*' <- - think about this.

actualy drift days cost money and maybe happen once a month, alot of people from california have obligations on saturday, or live too far away to make a drift day event. Some peoples drift cars wont meet the inspection or dont have the required two spare tires for a drift day program.

There are many reasons why the majority of drifting is done on the streets.

im not condoning it, just explaining how it is.

You'll probably get more responses if you ask how many people are internet drifters .

Actually, probably not. A lot of the guys on this site won't admit to that.

Any type of Racing cost $. If a drifter cannot accept that it will cost them $. maybe this isn't the sport for them.

I've spent a lot of $ just for tires /repairs and hardly on upgrades. Because I know what the cost is. Besides putting yourself on the streets and getting caught, will cause this whole "Bad Publicity". Causing a lot new laws to be passed.
All Im saying, if you want to drift or race, you have to take responsibility.

Unfortionately its painfully obvious, due to this poll, your speaking for the minority.

No one is argueing with you that its dangerous and what not. But that doesnt apear to be stopping people.

i think that by taking up the art of drifting, one realizes that it's a very expensive lifestyle, more so than your typical motorsport because to learn is to break stuff, over and over again. with that said it's really not about the cost of d-day events, but the availability. and of course preference, some people just like doing it on the streets...

                  ...anyway that's my spiel

here in az there is a track but you have to be part of a club. you also have to have a race, you can't just go out and have fun practicing. yeah that means 100% street. dont worry too much though my car is broken, no drifty for me

Hi, i've never drifted on a track. all my drifting is done on empty parking lots, where i can't stay for more than 10 mins. i also drift on the streets, corners where there aren't any cars around. here in the fort worth, tx area there aren't any windy back roads it's just all strait roads. i wish there were more places where i could drift.
