i love em all, esp mine, they are slow and u may think they are ugly. but they do not handle poorly at all. light weight and nice enough power for it. perfectly balanced.
allot better than the newer toyotas (soarer) cough cough. ohh wait do u mean your lexus?
im not big on the insults.. but i kindof have to agree with chas..
man what are you thinking flamming the 86 on a drifting website? not tomention that its just plain rude to insult someone's new car personally on his thread, if you think the 86 is overrated make a new post on it and prepare for a good old fashion debate.
Cheap to maintain
Good gas mileage
Bulletproof motor
Lots of aftermarket
looks cool
Around 2200 lbs depending on options (heckuva lot lighter than SCxxx)
Commands respect
I can go on but I think that's enough good points.
I'm not planning to drag with this car cause I'm building it as drift machine. Somtimes in order to be fast you have to kill some HPs. So i'm happy with 290-340. Although the engine itself is "supposely" stock 280HP already.
So far I've got the following parts but not yet installed cause it would look nasty if some parts are missing:
Volks GT-C or GT-U (Not yet decide until the exterior is installed then I will see which rims look better)
Yoko Tires (Front) Falken (Rear)
JDM SR20 ship from Japan itself
Nismo S15 mid-drop body kit
JDM S15 headlight
JDM Intercooler Clip
APEXi turbo
APEXi Turbo Timer
APEXi Intercooler
Tanabe Coil/Springs
JDM S15 steering wheel
Future:
(Planning) V-mount the intercooler.
Fuel Inject 700cc
Bosch fuel pump
Computer tuning
Optima yellow battery
That's it for now. I take my time on this. Not like I can grab like few G(s) off my pocket.
Yes, I am JDM whore. I like to keep the car mostly JDM. I'm not saying aftermarket stuff such as Greedy, HKS, Sparco, Bride, and etc suck. I just want the car just to look as normal S15. Nothing flashy and all. Just plain and simple.
Yes, I do choose go over look.
That's it so far. Except the rims. I will think about it in the future. As for now, I'm still saving up my money from work.
If you live in Los Angeles and would like to do Silvia project.
Go Signal Auto down by Torrance.
