The Drift Cars of the Sport

There are several reasons i wouldnt sugest a pickup for beginners or the list. For one. How many people drift pickups? very few. Thus making it kindof hard to put on a list about vehichles used in the sport. And why a pickup wouldnt be god for beginner. They are heavy. there suspension is tuned for comfort and suspension travel, not response. They dont nessisarly have good weight distributions. Most are tall, especialy full sized trucks. Tall means a high center of gravity, makes it alot harder to drift when your vehichle is trying to roll over.
Yes we have all heard stories of the guy who drifted his pickup. Or the guy who won the road race in a truck. But i do not suggest some 16 year old getting into the sport, and driving in general, go and take his dad's pickup up a moutain or to a track.

Let me sum the perfect Drift car up in one sentence.
The perfect Drift car is the one that you want to Drift. Thats that. Yes some are better than others but in the end it boils down to personal preference. Same with suspension set-ups. One mans treasure is another man's trip into the trees. I like my FD, my friend does not like my FD. He likes his 86, I like my 86. It all boils down to what you want out of a car.
So while this list gives the most common cars, it does not include them all. If your car is not on that list and you Drift it and love it, great. Keep it up. I personally want another Rotary Pickup. I loved that thing. Factory 13 with Rotary Power stamped in the tailgate. Life just didn't get no better than that. Plus after 4 days of changing my FD engine, I want something a little simpler.
