Tips to improve your driving

    definatly #2. i used to grip in my moms datsun and sh!t before i got my 240. that was way before i ever started trying to drift. i still go out and practice driving grip when i dont have thrash tires to use or something like that.

      Yes! I was taught to learn how to crawl before trying to run. Most people try to run before they even understand how to crawl. As a rule of thumb make sure you have all the basics down before you try the more advance techniques. Sure they are boring, but by not learning them, you only stunt and hinder your own growth and learning capability. Here's a quick check list, I practice these all the time.

      -when you shift, make sure you can't feel it. It should be so smooth that if you have a passenger, he/she should not be able to feel it.
      -ease on and ease off the pedals. Acceleration and braking should be fluid and smooth. You shouldn't stomp or abruptly lift off the pedals
      -learn the dimensions of your car, you should be able to place your tire an inch away from a line and not touch it
      -learn the limit of your car. In other more simple terms, learn the maximum slip angle of your tires.(the limit before your tires give, in acceleration, cornering, and braking) If you can't drive the limit, you are not driving fast enough.
      -try to go into a turn without turning the steering wheel too much. the more you turn, the slower you are.

      that's all I can remember now, maybe more later.

      basically, if you don't have the basics covered, you're kidding yourself if you think you can compete without someone who has

        here's some stuff I use. When changing lanes on the highway try not to hit reflectors, also when you're on a road by yourself try to stay on the centerline for as long as possible, I use these to know where my tires are.

        When I was learning to heel and toe, I used to break it up into steps like brake>neutral>rev match+downshift>clutch out+brake one after another instead of all at once. It's easier to learn if you understand each action. Well it was for me anyway.

          the one thing i need to work on more is the fluidity of my driving.....but we dont have good roads to practice on until way late at night, and with school its kinda hard to be driving until like 3 am



          but i definatly need to work alot iin the next few weeks cause havent driven my 240 for like 3 weeks cause of my blown engine and complications, so im out of practice..lol. annd in 2 weeks we are having a touge run meet!
