After watching JDM Option 5 and 6 i've come to be pretty disgusted with Orido, Tsuchiya and Suzuki's newfound judging styles. What happened to the good ol days when hanging the *Censored**Censored**Censored* end out in the dirt and bringing it back was a good thing. Now it's just you have to follow the exact line they are looking for. I hate it when it's biased like this. I wish they'd just watch they run and judge it from there on how stylish and maybe how UNIQUE the drift is, not on how well they followed the line. Thoughts?

The racing line is very important. It shows your knoledge of driving. Anyways, it's not hard to figure that out, but to predicably make your car drift that line is a whole different story right?
Anyways, their judging is very biased on the cars they personally like also. Gotta love judges that are prejudice.

Remember, D1 isn't the only series out there... I believe Yokohama/Advan has a series too, and I've heard that has better judging. Check out the link for "Advan Drift Meeting" midway down the page on this link, under the D1 link.

D1 *becoming* commercial? Dude, that was it's purpose. Unless I am mistaken, D1 was created by Option video to sell videos.

I like the way D1 is technical about line. They at least tell you what the line should be. Then its up to the drivers to stay on that line while going fast. Its not easy, you can tell by the amount of drivers that do not stay on that line.
I also like they fact that they usually make the line difficult to be on, usually over a bump, just one wheel off, or next to a wall. Keeps the competition exciting even in the qualifying rounds.

Pfieffer, i have to agree with you. I like the courses (in japan) fro D1 and what the drivers need to do. What i don't like is picking the "popular" winner. Hibino vs. Nomuken for example. I think a couple times with Sam you might now what i mean.
Lets say you get out there on the 19th and you kick the crap out of Kazama. And they make you go again, since it was kinda close. So again, just by a hair, you do better (this is in your hachi btw... with no turbo though... it uh... broke or something ) so they make you go AGAIN. This time when youa re leading his 500ps S15, he gains a little ground and you fight him off. But you are on his *Censored**Censored**Censored* the whole next run, he can't shake you. And they give it to him... dude, you'd be like WHAT!? F, we'd all be liek WHAT!!!!
Thats how D1 is (from what you guys and my friends in J-Land tell me) you can be one of the best drivers, but if they like someone more or you don't drive for on eof the title sponsors... hah, good luck i guess.
Anways, I hope you kick *Censored**Censored**Censored* so much they won't even send you another time brah. I'll see you there, b!tch.

I want to shake Hibino's hand.
After watching the whole video I would have given it to him, but Nomuken had "paid his dues"...So we all know who the judges went with...
Still, 2nd place in his first major debut ain't shabby!
(this was a little off topic, I know...)
