How are you guys using SCCA for drift practice? Has SCCA changed their outlook on this? I thought drifting was specifcily disallowed under any of their rules.

This is something I work with the Sacramento SCCA Region. Not the entire SCCA is involved with this. Im pretty sure many other regions are also in the works on supporting something like this but drifting is not allowed on regular autox events. Maybe during fun runs.

Ahh. Yes, we would have to do something similar. I am just wondering, because even though the local region is helping you aout and stuff, you are not covered under the SCCA insurance. Do you have a different providor, or does your site have its own, or not require it?

Just trying to gather more info on ways we here in New Mexico can get sites to allow us to hold inexpensive parking lot type practice.

it would be impossible to hold this in san francisco region: too much old blood that really frown on drifting. sacramento region on the other hand, is pretty much laid back. that's why jeff was able to let them host a drift session.

I dont have the specifics. I think the site has its own and we just had to pay extra.

hey Jeff, any way you can change the title to Stockon Drift Event? It might seem more intrigueing, the distance between the two is at least 45 miles!

Yes, There are open spot still. We are getting closer the the cut off date. Please sign up asap.

There some questions that I would like to try and answer while I'm login.

With the three course layout everyone should have more then 2 and a half hour of actual seat time.

Your must have a valid driver license.

Please bring your helmet if you have one and bring spare if you have them. We will have helmet to lend out but are very limited.

It is very important that your arrive on time and get check in and grid up. The sooner we get set up the sooner we run. First car out on track at 9:00.

All driver will get an SCCA Hat and two SCCA stickers.

No fees for spectators. Everyone is welcome to watch.
