Entrance for SETUP is at the South Lot Gate of Soldier Field
There will be 2 separate lines; Rigs/Vendors and Teams
GROUP 1: RIG SETUP (All rigs must be present during this window of time)
10:00am Gate opens for RIG SETUP in Main Paddock
10:00am – 12:00pm Rig Setup arrival: Sponsor Rigs and Large Vendors only 1
10:00am – 6:00pm Registration window opens for Team and Exhibitor Credentials 2
12:00pm RIG SETUP Ends | Gates Standby
GROUP 2: GENERAL SETUP (all teams, vendors, and sponsors must set up on this day)
12:00pm Gates open for SETUP | PRACTICE
12:00pm – 6:00pm Setup arrival: All Formula Drift Teams and Exhibitors 3
2:00pm Gates close for non-seeded setup arrival
2:00pm Mandatory Media Briefing
3:00pm – 3:15pm Non-Seeded Drivers Meeting MANDATORY (must be suited) 4
3:20pm Non-Seeded Drivers Stage in Pit Lanes
3:30pm – 4:30pm Non-Seeded Drivers Practice OPEN PRACTICE 5
4:30pm – 7:00pm Non-Seeded Drivers Qualifying
7:10pm Clear Track
7:00pm – 7:15pm Seeded Drivers Meeting MANADATORY (must be suited)
7:20pm Seeded Drivers Stage in Pit Lanes
7:30pm Non-seeded qualifiers announced at Formula D Hospitality Tent
7:30pm – 9:30pm Practice: Formula Drift seeded teams OPEN PRACTICE 5
7:30pm – 9:30pm Media Ride-A-longs (tentative)
8:00pm Gates close to all team and exhibitor setup arrival
9:30pm Prepare to exit venue | Finish up final setup | Clean area and aisle ways
10:00pm SETUP Ends | Gates Close
1 Rigs and large trailers that do not arrive during this time may not receive optimal placement
2 Registration and Will Call is setup at the entrance to the paddock ( South Lot). Please refer to map.
3 After picking up credentials, all Teams and Exhibitors will be awaiting placement in the setup staging area outside of the Gate( South Lot).
4 All Drivers are required to be fully suited at meetings. Meetings will all be held in the Formula D Hospitality Tent unless otherwise noted.
5 Open Practice means that drivers are allowed as many runs as possible during the given window of time. After each run, drivers will move to the back of the line. If a driver breaks or needs to perform maintenance their race vehicle, they will lose their place in line until they are ready to practice.
Practice will NOT be extended for any drivers who have not had sufficient practice because their vehicle could not run.
Practice will NOT be extended due to crashes, breaks on track, oil spills, etc.
