Hello,
I am the sound supervisor for Fast and Furious 3. I have spent the fall and winter researching drivers, cars, and most of all engine sounds. I have met with an amazing level of patience and devotion from the drifting community. Thank you all very much. Many individuals and corporations have donated alot of time, money, and tires to our recording efforts. I am trying to capture the correct sound for every car in the film. It is nearly the end of the road as far as recording goes, but I have two days left, and am still looking for a few engines to complete the library. In general the cars that work best are high horsepower, professional drifting machines that run on racing fuel, sound loud, aggressive, and unique. I will be recording this Thursday and am still in need of one of the following engines: VQ35, 1JZ, RX8 or an RX7. If anyone knows a particularly fantastic version of any of these who's owner would be interested in participating in a professional recording session, please let me know.
Thank you very much.
