After two rounds things are getting intersting. CJ of USS came out of nowheres and claimed himself and his crew a second place spot in round 2. With the contingent from Colorado making such a strong showing it'll be hard for the New Mexico locals to claim the #1 spot. Will they be able to fight back and do it?

Find out on July 21st at Sandia Motorsports Park as NM Drift hosts round 3 of the NM Drift Series and our second round of Time Attack.

More details are available on NMDrift.com and Racingsouthwest.com

Thanks to A-J tires for providing the mountian of used tires and providing free tire changing service.

I'd just like to say thanks for everyone coming out. Especially those that traveled either to watch or to drive. Thank you A-J tires for being an amazing sponsor and supporter of the NM Drift Series.

This was a course we wanted from the beginning but were waiting to use, we didn't want to throw it at newbs because with the higher speeds and the potential proximity to the wall it increased the danger. But I gotta say I was impressed at how EVERYONE stepped up their game from the last event, and gave us the best driving all year. Everyone that was there knows how tough the top 4 was to judge. I really think it's time for some more of you guys to start running tandem.

Congrats to Jake for the win, Jason for making my job extremely tough and grabbing second, Travis for yet another podium, and Skippy for clawing to the 4th spot despite mechanical failures.

Drivers: good job. you all need to start getting all of your safety gear in order so we can have the kind of fun you see in those videos from japan and california. All the cool stuff doesn't need to be in some mythical far way land. We can do all of that here, if you help us make it happen. We have some truly awesome ideas and plans in store for you guys, but we need participation and support to do it.

Workers: I can't say enough. Without you guys we wouldn't be able to have event. I am in your debt.

Current points standing should be out by the end of the week.
