meh.... just go out and drive lol.. if you are good, just play dumb lol and get some good sliding time. the pro can than go back and tell people how awesome he is at teaching the art of the drift lol.

however like you i would like to know what "pro" drivers would be there.

Primary instructor is Matt from Import Intelligence.

If you have skills you can just come to have fun, if you need training he got mad skillz.

Does Matt (what's his last name?) compete in a professional series? Resume? Has he ever instructed before with a current racing/drifting school? Who are the other instructors? What kind of curriculum will you follow?
            Thanks

              Thanks
Thanks for your interest in the event. We're happy to say that we will have 4 to 6 professional drivers available to help those who need it. The drivers will be from Import Intelligence (Matt Waldin), Drift Brigade (Dennis Mertzanis & Damien Bagley), and a few other drivers. These drivers (myself included) have years of experience driving in professional series and are interested in helping more people get involved in the sport. Each driver brings a different set of skills to the table and will be able to help with the tips and tricks learned by spending endless hours in pro circuits including NOPI Drift, Drift Mania, Formula D, and US Drift.

If you just want to come out and get some seat time and not take advantage of the lessons learned on the road, you're more than welcome to do that too. For those of you who want to learn from the guys who get paid to do this, we'll be there.

We're really looking forward to the event and we hope that you all head out.

Doug - if you want to see my resume, check out YouTube. If you want to grace us with you're presence we'll be glad to have you.

Wish I could but it looks like I'll have another engagement that weekend...

Don't misunderstand my questions. I have some freinds up there that were asking me about the event and if I knew who would be teaching. A lot of events claim to have "pro" drivers but few actually do and my point is that the word "Pro" get thrown around a lot in this sport. If you're going to host an event with good guys there helping people out, let people know who they are and what their qualifications are (just like the large racing schools do). This way people know it won't be just lame BS wanna-be's talk'n the talk, they'll know what to expect and are eger to sign up because they know they'll be working with guys they've seen in competition. then they don't have to guess if it's worth it to partisipate or not..... You dig?

You must mean someone providing straight answers that should have been in the very first post....

Absolutly, and really the point of this is to come out and have fun at a new venue. Sometimes people asking is better press than just putting it on the flyer. Thanks for your interest and hopefully your friends will come out and rock the house and/or learn something new.

what's the rule on convertibles for this event?

There are not rules for convertibles. We won't be going 100 around the track. Its RWD and a helment. If you got a good suspension, LSD, and tires that helps. If you seasoned you can drive for fun. If you need help instructors are on hand to teach. Only about 38 positions left. Register Today we will be sold out before the end of the month. We have about 2 or 3 people register each day and haven't even handed out one flyer yet.... that will be at the end of this week.
