Sorry folks, drivers only for this event.

    Classing:
This event will feature open classing. What does this mean? Run what you brung in one of three classes:

    FF: front-engine, front-drive
    FR: front-engine, rear-drive
    AWD: four-wheel or all-wheel drive

Mid-engine or Rear-engine vehicles (a'la Porsche, MR-2, etc) will be classified with FR vehicles for this event.

    Points & Scoring:
Winners will be determined by FTD within the class.

Knock a cone out of the box/over = +2 sec

What do you mean by "autocross style event"? Gymkhana is usually about speed and style where autocross is just about time.

      Justin,

Perhaps you are confusing drifting a bit with gymkhana. If you refer to the Wikipedia entry on Autocross, the following paragraph about gymkhana appears:

These are similar to the Japanese gymkhana, another type of handling competition. Gymkhanas are even tighter than motorkhanas and autotests, with numerous 360-degree turns around cones and courses that loop back upon themselves. Fast times require a lot of sliding and the end result ends up looking similar to a cross between autocross and drifting. Gymkhanas do not usually require entering reverse gear.
This is a pretty accurate description. In fact, the whole entry is really good:
      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autocross

Regardless, we will be timing the event using AXWrats equipment on AXWare software.

Let us know if you have any other questions!
