Drift Day competition

Presented by Drift Association

Drift Association announces its second annual Drift
competition at California Speedway on June 26-27,
2004.

Satuday will be Drift Day 17 in conjunction with the
5th Annual SoCal240SX.org Summer Meet. The Socal240sx
organization is expecting over 100 240's to attend the
meet.

Sunday will be the second annual Drift Day competition
hosted by Drift Association. Last years amateur
competition winner was Calvin Wan who is now a Falken
Demo driver and Formula D competitor. Sunday will
also have Tandem practice sessions for Formula D
drivers or any two drivers that meet the safety
regulations set by Drift Association.

The event will also have vendors and food available.
Vendors information should be addressed to Gary at:
garrieyeo@hotmail.com Spectators are welcome to
attend both days. Spectators entry fee is $5.00.

Location
The event is located at lot 11 and 12 at California
Speedway. We are asking everyone to abide by the
speed limit entering the property. Anybody that
violates the rules will be escorted off the property.

what do you have to have, safety wise and other, to be able to go out on the course? Also, what are the differences between Sat. and Sun. schedules? I might only be able to go on one day, which day would be the best to go?

You will need a helmet, functioning seatbelt and a good running car.

Saturday will be a regular Drift Day along with the Socal 240sx meet. A regular Drift Day consists of a day to learn and have fun.

Sunday will be a competition and tandem practice for all Instructors and National competitors such as Andy Yen, Taka Aono, Hirro Sumida, Alex P. and Chris Forsberg.

As far the best day to go, it really depends on what you want to get out of it. Saturday is a great day if you want to learn drifting and you want to see over 100 240sx's parked in one area.

Sunday is to compete but still have a good time and meet your local competitors. If you have not registered yet we filled up in three days and there is a waiting list already.

These events fill up fast so check our website often. We normally have registration open 1 month before every event. You can check our events calendar to see when our next event will be.

Our next confirmed event is in August although we might have one in July.

im going sunday and i got a question... will there still be a 240 meet/car show in one lot like on sat. i went to DD10 and that was just wonderful, it was my first true drifting event, and this will probably be my last, well sry to get off topic, but (once again) car show on sun?
