  • Looking for Drifting places in Japan to visit

Hi all, I am new here and wanted to ask if anyone knows where I can find info on where any events are being held in Japan while I am there. I leave July 28 and return August 12. Will be visiting Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Yokohama, and Osaka. Looking to find where the events are held and also info on the night local drifting in Yokohama and other cities. Thanks

If you're gonna visit all of those places...Then I don't think you'll have time to visit a drift spot that you'll actually wanna see. Sure...you might find a twisty street or two, but thats about it. I knew a guy, that did the exact same thing you did...

damn......Thai Juku is right..........if you're visiting all those places then you're not going to be able to find a drift spot you'll actually want to see.....
and this sounds so cliche.....to vist japan and find good drift spots hahah but hey its all good....
then again none of us know how you're going to work that kind of schedule so prove us wrong....

          spending time in Japan

I have 16 days total to spend and the mojority of it is to find drifting places at night and maybe an event being held someplace. When you visit Japan you will need a JR pass (train pass) which cost from $450 to $600 for the 14 da pass. With this I can visit anywhere in Japan I take a notion to go to. I can't wait to get over there and play for two weeks. I am like a kid waiting on Christmas. If you ever get a chance it is a trip that is worth the cost and it is very expensive to go there. Tokyo has been named the most expensive place on earth again.
Cost to go is about like this
Plane ticket round trip $1500 +/-
Rail pass as I mentioned already
Place to stay $100 and up a night for traditional Japanese Inns and Western hotels are $200 and up.
Food is about $50 to $100 a day
Taxis stay away from unless you are a very wealthy. If you plan to sight see add another $200 or more.

So far my trip is about $2500 and I know I will spend another $2000 once I get there on top of this. But its worth it.

Hey you I live in Tokyo. I can take you to a cool spot with 4th gear drifts. We can take the train, but it is a long walk if you are up to it. It goes on all night, you have to take the next train in the morning at 6:00 am.

I found this spot by talking to some drift shop here in Japan. This was at D1 in Odiba.

Yeah I think it may be the same one your talking about. There is a convience store inside of a big building at the first stop light at the end of the corner. It is 3 blocks away from the bay. That sweeping corner is great isn`t?
