I was there too. I wish i could have had more track time but oh well. Good job to all the drifters that went out there. The course wasnt all that friendly. I mean it wasnt easy to clear that first turn because it was up hill and hard to gain enough speed for some people. But a lot of people handled it well. Mooboy your always at the events im at. Next time say whats up. You know my car by now i think. The black FD.

If someone had it, it was luck because no one was expecting you to do that, you were doing pretty damn good. Ive never drifted but from what i saw my opinion on the track is to take the truns wider so you can sling your way into that stupid *Censored**Censored**Censored* turn thats soo damn sharp you cant even take it. That track set up was kinda crappy to be honest :/ Did you just loose control or what?
The track itself really was tricky. We were headed uphill into the big right, and the left hander after the main right was very very tight. You had to slow down a LOT and position the car on the far right to be able to clear it. Even then, us Corollas without massive power had a very small chance of continuing the drift past the tight left. With more power it would be easy...After that point the big left into the exit was pretty easy of course.
As for the hop, I made a gross miscalculation of where the car was going to go when I pulled the ebrake up. The idea was to just kiss the berm and go up a tiny bit, not to use it as a launch pad! Usually when you use the e-brake while sideways it will slide you outward while keeping the same angle...In this case I didn't have enough angle so I just slid forward at a 45-degree angle and hit the berm dead on! Anyway, that was the best photo finish ever so I don't regret it. I had like 5 degrees of toe-out on the passenger side afterward, but a quick alignment via eyeballing it had the car tracking nice and straight again for Sunday's runs...
Thanks for the pics and support, guys!

Yah my FDs really spin happy. I wish i had more time to get used to the track. At first i would pitch it too much so i couldnt clear the first turn but on my last run i figured out not to do that and to slowly pitch it more and more till the end of the long turn. Oh well next time.
