I thought Snoop would be the saving grace, but all he did was ruin a perfectly good Doors song.

Because he was too high... ah... I guess from seeing us going sideways! hehehe...

the editing and presentation of the drifting was totally slapdash. They compressed it down to where the point was lost.

They might as well not do the competition. They didn't really take advantage of putting on the drift competition to advertise the game (well, just a little bit). It was worthless to the general audience because they had no idea what was going on! Even I didn't know what was going on for god's sakes. Nonetheless, the camera angle they used to shoot the gusto big bank drift before hitting the first cone was awesome.

Anyway, I still had a lot of fun that night tandeming with Ken and got to see Brooke in person.

Thanks my 1 88 u... The organizer did respect us when we were at the track. All I am worry about is the image of drifting portraited to the general public.

I was extremely disappointed in the presentation of the drifting. I was prepared for them to skimp on the coverage, have spotty coverage, not give much time, etc. I was not expecting them to butcher it so bad you couldn't tell what was going on. They never showed a complete pass, or even half of one, combined clips from separate runs, and put them in random order with respect to the track layout.

It was absolutely horrible. If you liked drifting, there was really nothing to see, and if you were borderline, or new too it, it only left you even more confused.

The event was a blast and had some AWESOME competition, and I actually love playing NFSU, but they wasted a lot of time money and effort to hold the drift competition.

I kind of knew how it was going to be filmed, do to the nature Spike TV’s other programs. Though it was a poor and brief representation of drifting at its finest, the program was focusing on the game launch and did just that. I agree that the live drifting segment was butchered in a fashion, which was hard to follow, non-the less it was still drifting on TV on a Nationally televised show.

Anyways back to the competition side of things. Everyone did a great job including the judges. Between being on the dyno for 22+ runs the morning of the race and arguing with the track officials, who weren’t allowing us to bring tires down to the track we had an overall good day! Well with that said time to get back to work prepping for D1.

yah i watched the thing on spike. wasnt exactly what i was expecting. but it was a video game launch, not dorifto fever like i wanted. bu tthen again the dorifto fever woudl have done more for FD than NFSU prolly. so i guess to them its ok.
