when you guys say you cant import a car unless its 25 years or older is that to be able to drive it legaly or just to import it cause I've seen a RHD integra type R an R33(not from motorex) and a late 90s holden commodore GTS or GTO(looks like a catera) driving on the street and at the track didn't notice if they had CAL plates or not

Anybody can drive anything on the street. It's just a matter of time until they get pulled over and they see that their car is not registered. Also, any car can be used on a track. Silvias aren't legal, but you see them at Irwindale for D1.
The law for the united states is of 25 years old but here in canada its only 15 but you could always bend the law a little , lets say you want something like a 1989 R32 Skyline ok, you get contact with a car dealer in canada, you find an agreement with him, you can import it through him to canada, and it would then be the dealers property, and there is no law for importing a vehicule that was owned by a canadian to the united states. I know a few people who did that and it worked just fine, with a good "tip" most dealers would accept your offer.
