Yeah toyota only makes the SC430 and the MRS that are RWD and the MRS is headed for the crapper shorly. hehehe. But GM is supposed to release 7 (?) new cars on the kappa platform. So, pontiac and saturn can make RWD cars but Toyota cant. Just makes you chuckle.

    Go domestics!

edit: Only the SC and MR aside from the Lexus sedans excluding the ES.

Yeah the new Solstice is shaping up to be a very nice little sports car. It's got 170 hp (with a blown 220 hp 2.2 retailing at about 24k) for under 20k and it's FR. I could pass on the styling though.

Dont forget spaceframe and factory coilovers. Not just any 170 hp engine either. ECOTEC. Same as Lisa Kubos saturn. And I kinda like the styling. Looks more like an auto-x grip car than a drifter, but nice.

Oh, I got kicked outta Toys R Us once for drifting their stuff... Powerwheels Jeep (the little tiny electric POS thing actually did half decently... when I was sitting on the hood facing backwards) I also have a pic of me doing a wheelie in the same jeep, but not on this computer. There were also the three-wheelers (my favorite was the one that steered the rear wheels, making it very easy to slide into stuff), and the pedal-car, doing hand-brake turns. Damn, how did i forget about those!

i drifted a toyota van back in okinawa, along with a 87 toyota corolla 4 door p.o.s., i think it was 87, but it sucked nonetheless, drifted my mom's supra mk3 twin turbo, beautiful "hydraulic" suspensions too. drifted a gtst. and many other japanese p.o.s. cars that werent worth remember the names of the cars, oh one of em was the guppy, ever heard of that?

my brother's 89 toyota celica. I was gripping instead of drifting. I don't want to ruin his car.

In my D1 yearbook (2003-2004) they show one of the trucks they use to transport the D1 cars drifting. The long flatbed tow trucks.

Another member of the shopping cart drift

Hey i'm down for a shopping cart drift club, at my local Kroger we get the shopping carts with the little car looking thing built around the cart and have 1 person sit inside while another person pushes and turns the "car" around the isles. great fun...

Xantos "Please tell me which i should get for my first car, 1) 300zx turbo 2) Pontiac Fiero 3)V6 Accord or 4)Astro Van"

the V6 accord, then swap out the engine with an H22 then cover it in stickers, put nothing under the hood, exept mabey a nitrous system (so people think your car is fast) and probably a whole lot of neon lights. sorry I don't mean to be a jacka s s about it, It's just that everyone asks this question and they usually already know the answer, if you want my opinion, for a first car you need something cheap and easy to fix, and has lots of parts obtainable at a junkyard, trust me you really don't want anything too nice when your young, especially if your going to be drifting, so don't get the 300zx just yet, get more experience behind the wheel, a pontiac fiero will get you killed, and are suck to repair, a V6 accord.... you already know what I think. and the astro van, is the best one yet, cheap, easy rearwheel drive, and has plenty of room to haul stuff, I would like to see more astro's drifting, only keep in mind the high center of gravity, for most people it hasn't been a problem, but for a novice, flipping it will not be hard. I have to wonder why you choose these cars specifically, good luck anyway I hope I could help, and I was just kidding in the beginning, V6 accords aren't all bad, there is just a ricey stigma attached to them, they are driftable, but they are FF if you want to deal with that, I wonder which year you meant, like I said before you want something cheap. ah I'm just drifting off into a long meaningless post, sorry.

thanks for your input, i was leaning in the beginning towards astro (chop the top off, put a huge hotrod engine in the back...great fun) but recently i was thinking of getting the 300zx or the fiero, but i think this brought up a good point about getting such fast cars, young. thanks again

xantos, I'd like to see the astro with a hotrod engine in back, it'd be even better to see it at D1 oneday
