Going to Osaka, Japan

hey, me and 3 friends are going to osaka, japan at the end of this upcoming summer, and we are looking for tons of car realted stuff to do there. we will be there for 2 weeks and besides the autosalon in toyoko and super autobacs, we need other stuff to do. so if there is anyone in osaka plz pm me!!plllzzz.haha. is there much tougeing around, i havent looked into this stuff, so if you dont got nothin to say plz dont post!

i also want to add that, its just not a sper of the moment thing, we have been planning this for a while not and just saw a travel agent today. this is legit, haha. we just want to meet people from around osaka and maybe hang out or learn more abotu the culture that we dont know now, we are always researching stuff. but knowing someone that lives in osaka would be even better!

hey i am goin to be in osaka this summer probably not to sure yet if you are goin to see some car stuff cheak out c-west and 5zigen's headquarters there should be some nice touge around there also by what my uncle tells me in tokyo harbor by the docks there is some good drifting on friday and saturday nights. have fun out there.

go and check at the indutrail areas near the 3am..... and try to contact max from crazy max.... they know how to move in the illegal scene....goand check the real headstore of siganl... theres a lot of chit to do in that city... hav fun...and check tha illegal drift up in the island youllbe amazed...

havent got the ticket yet, but we got quoted yesterday about 1400 cnd for there and back. which i think is fabolous.we definitly planned to go to signal auto since that was one of our main reasons for stayin on osaka and also its not as big as tokoyo. we want to check out the touge scene mainly like everynight and my friend knows someone that imports rhd cars to canada and lives not to far from osaka so i think we shall be set! any more info would be much appreicated.

my ticket last june with buying it two months in advance was 650 round trip.......and im going back in march and was quoted 450 roound trip.....these were both flying out of San francisco intl. airport. Look around you can find cheaper ones.

Hey we Live in Lethbridge Alberta. (im one of the travelers going). were not planing on going till August theres 4 of us so booking last minute can be a bit risky so were gona play it safe and book early so far the best price we have found is 1,395.00 per person, round trip. We are still looking for cheaper but we will c. We definitly are gona check out the touge and try and get into Contact with as many people over there as we can. Plus if we meet anyone flying over the same time we are going it might be cool to hook up over there. Were gona check around a bit more but the trips gona be a blast lol. Thanks for anyones help.

Are you just staying in Osaka or travelling other places as well? Go to Hiemji Castle!!! I have been to Osaka twice, I was not a big fan of the city. I like Yokohama the best, well really the whole Tokyo Metro area its HUGE! If you make it to Tokyo go to Shinjuku, and find the tallest building (I cannot remember the name of the building) and take a trip to the top you can see Mt fuji from there if they sky's clear and you will see how large the city is. In Oi (in Tokyo), I saw drifting at about 5am in the morning. It was the greatest I was right at curb side and cars are no more than two-three feet from me. I noticed it takes a while to find out when and where they are drifitng.

Look around for tickets, I got mine the first time Spring 2001, for about $600 round trip and the second time Summer 2003, about $460 round trip. I am actully due to go again this year

haha. b-worm its all good, thanks for the support, haha. we are probly gunna go to tokoyo for the autosalon there! that will be a good time. but i dunno about my counterparts but i really want to see touge drift scene in japan. i want to document it all cuz i love the scene over there and the culture and everythig about japan makes me happy inside.

The good news is Osaka is great! You will have a great time. The bad news is you will miss the Autosalon. Here is a site for the Autosalon. Tokyo Autosalon starts today. Many from here will be going to Fukuoka in Feb.

Osaka is home of the Wangan Route.
