  • Amateur speculation: Dunlop+Saleen=drift spec S7?

If the promise of big-breasted women doesn't make you want to check things out, how about the big surprise announcement that Dunlop and Saleen will be making at the show? We don't know what it is, but it should be sweet. Maybe they will campaign a drift-spec S7? Here's hoping...
It's definately a far cry from drifting. But Saleen showing up at a HIN show? An exotic showing up at HIN to promote it circuit racing with a Dunlop sponsership is kinda wierd. And the biggest sponsership a professional drifter can have is that of a Tire company. Keeping fingers crossed

You're kidding, right? Do you know what tire company has a bridge banner spanning accross Circuit de la Sarthe (sp?) aka Le Mans? Dunlop does. In fact, that bridge banner (the semicircular "tire" with a rectangle cut in it the width of the track... you know what i'm talking about, right?) is on a huge amount of circuits around the world. To think that they would have nothing to do with circuit racing is uh.. just wrong.

As for a "drift car". If ANYTHING it would be a mustang. Saleen S7 would SUCK BALLS for drifting anyways. Supercars =/= large slip angles.

Besides, everyone knows that Chevy powered supercars drift better, as Tiff Needell so ably demonstrates with the Ultima GTR and Mosler MT900 Photon.
