Interesting thread, I've actually been thinking about something very similar. A driver owned low budget facility in the mainland US with a low budget track with multiple configurations built just for drifting. It would probably have to be a very basic low cost track to be financially possible. But if it were open 7 days a week, geared towards the drivers as a practice facility, and the price was reasonable enough for the average enthusiast, it might work. I'm talking a low level, low budget operation run by drivers with no media in mind, everyone responsible for their own cars and their own safety. I have one question though, how far are people actually willing to drive to practice for hours at a track? And if there was a hotel/inn built into the track facility, would people stay for multiple days? (assuming they are coming from out of state).

hahaha Slonie I was thinking that too ....too bad people don't read at least the first couple parts of the thread....thinking up their ideas from what they "know" which is usually nothing at all......

you NEED to have an alternative to getting there early in the morning, allow mid day arrivals. its a rather long drive for me and i hate waking up early, id be so down for the summer night drift, and i could cut through via angeles crest
