ROD MILLEN Enters Drift Series In RX-8

oh wow it finally hit me, that the tribal thing on the evo is because...rhys is a kiwi, and they have crazy mofo's there with those tattood faces and big tongues it's all making sense to me now!

Yeah that was my point, which is why it was kinda a sarcastic question. The FD engine has been around now for over 10 years. Most of what can be learned on them has been learned. A brand new engine shouldn't blow up, unless it was tuned wrong or was built wrong. It's not just rotaries either, it goes the same way for piston engine too, just not as critical I just feel bad since I heard he was having a good time and was doing really well. I will have to go see the car tomorrow when Angelo isn't running. I really like the RX-8's and I think the platform would do pretty damn good in drifting since it is such a balanced platform right out of the box.

Oh well, hopefully the engine R&D gets worked out soon, because I would like to see him drift that car

Just to set the record straight... The Engine was brought in from Japan already built by a Grenade's D1 Engine builder. There was a simple water fitting that broke and cause the engine to cook itself. Its racing and it happens. The engine was running great and Rod was having a blast ( of course Rhys had some fun in it to) Grenade was very disappointed that they could not run the car but it will be back for next year. I can see the whole Millen crew building cars for drifting now. First, Rhys. Now, Rod. When is Steve going to toss his hat in the mix?

With all his Pikes Peaks experience, I've often wondered if it wasn't but a matter of time before we'd see Rod drifting. Good to see him out there showin 'em how it's done.

RX8 huh, dang I didnt really know you could do much with a RX8. My buddy has a RX8 and he was telling me that every time you put something on there the check engine light would go on. Maybe he was wrong or didnt know how to put it on right. looking foward toward seeing that RX8.

what does the check engine light have to do with anything... that *Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored* goes on for no reason all the time in everycar.

Check engine lights are only annoying if you don't pull the bulb out of them.

But it is great to see Rod getting in the game. And he chose one hell of a platform. The next step will be using a Renesis motor instead of the REW. But either way I'm happy. Good luck to team RMR!!
