I think that's part of the commitment if you really want to run Formula D. You have to be willing to travel alot.

It's not only commitment but money as well.

Absolutely. Either you must be able to attract sponsors or you will need to foot the bill yourself. There really isn't any form of motorsports that is cheap, especially if you have to travel.

Will the cars be required to have a roll cage for the qualifing rounds or is it like d1 driver search where the cars are pretty much tech'd the same as a drift day and then to compete you need cage ect....

American Touge 2 : Casting Call Update
Thank you to all of you who've submitted cars to the AT2 casting call. November 23rd is the deadline for the casting call so you can still submit your ride if you're up for the challenge. Also if you know any friends who may be interested, let them know about it too.

As you can see we've listed some of the cars on the website. We're swamped with overwhelming response and currently sorting out the many applicants.

All cars which have been invited will receive a letter from our staff by the end of November.
The usual cast of Keiichi Tsuchiya, Manabu Orido and Kazumi Kondo will be there and looking forward to meeting all of you.

If the above makes no sense to you; American Touge is a video segment we shot last year and was released in DVD in 2005 as Hot Version International Volume 3 American Touge. We invited some of America's top tuners to bring their cars so they can be tested on the tracks at Horse Thief Mile/Willowspring International Speedway in California. After serious testing by our very own Drift King Tsuchiya and Max Orido, Comptec's NSX won the first title as the US version Touge Monster and XS Engineering's WRX won the American Touge battle against Top Set Up's Civic. The video shoot itself was covered in Super Street magazine and the finished DVD has been reviewed in industry magazines such as C16 and IGN.com's car section.

Click to see trailer of American Touge.

The cast and the producers were very impressed with the level of performance of the US tuned cars that we decied to do it again this year. After last year's AT, we received A LOT of e-mails from tuners all over the US saying that their cars could out run the cars we tested. So this year we just decided to have an open casting call. Those of you who are confident enough will get the chance to have your cars praised or put down by our guys. You know o'l KT is not afraid of ragging on cars. Of course we can't drive each and every car so we will have to narrow it down. But, we are taking a different format this year so more cars will be driven in a "prelimary" session.

              Here are some updates:

              < CHANGE OF SCHEDULE >
The date for the shooting has been changed from DECEMBER 19th (Mon) to DECEMBER 20th (Tue).

              < ANNOUNCEMENTS >
Casting Call for AT2 will CLOSE on NOVEMBER 23rd.

Selected candidates will receive an e-mail from ZZA / BMI by NOVEMBER 30th.
