jeez, i thought u JDM consious guys would know about the HUD on the copcars, those so-called "bugsheilds" are accually the HUD screen, it shows the speedo, tach ect. ect, its so the cops dont have to look down wen they r on the mountian or chasing someone down the wangan at 160 clicks

Sorry, responding to an earlier post: The Skylines are used to patrol the Wangan freeway in Japan, i think. But i know they aren't as strict on speed on those toll highways. They just patrol to keep things from getting out of hand if something does happen.Comment

where were those gtr's when that supra was doing a burnout in 2nd gear in the middle of them empty freeway? oh yeah never mind the cop caught up to him after about 2 mins or so...

They use GT-Rs and NSXs and everything else available. most of the cars are tax right offs for the manufactures. There is only the wangan in Tokyo and you wont see a GTR there patroling. Sendai, Ibaraki, Tochigi these to name a few have stables of GTRs. And all highways are toll roads in Japan. The speed limit is 80 kph you can get away with 100kph. They love to roll ya for doin over the speed limit. Been there done that got all the first hand info. I have been poped on a speed camera doing 270 kpa and was forwarded the pic with a nice little nasty gram. Guess I shouldnt have flipped them the bird.Originally posted by Pennyman
