Los Angeles, CA (February 21, 2006) – Live Sockets Entertainment in association with Formula Drift Inc. is set to produce the Formula Drift: Battleground DVD. Based on the Formula D television show on G4TV, this title will follow the United States’ top professionals as they battle it out in the 2005 Need for Speed Formula Drift Championships.
Formula Drift: Battleground will give fans a chance to relive the championship season in its entirety as Rhys Millen, Alex Pfeiffer, Ken Gushi and the rest of the US contingent battle it out for the title.
“We are thrilled to produce a movie that will capture the excitement and spirit of drifting and what Formula D is all about,” says Thuy Dang, Live Sockets executive producer. “Every qualifying run and tandem battle will be included in this title to satisfy even the most hardcore fans.”
“It is important that we get this material to fans that follow Formula Drift, and I’m glad that people all around the world will be able to see it. We are very excited to be working with Live Sockets on this project,” says Ryan Sage of Formula Drift, Inc.
Currently the title is set for a Spring release in North America with a rollout to mass market retailers in UK, Europe and Australia/New Zealand following shortly after.
