Falken Tire Contingency Program for the 2006 Formula Drift Series
Falken Tire Corporation once again announces their contingency program for the 2006 Formula Drift series. Falken Tire believes in the sport of drifting and its participants, and they will have payouts for any drivers/teams (“Works” or privateer) competing on Falken AZENIS, FK Series, or ZIEX Tires that meet the rules and regulations of their program.
Everyone knows tires are by far the most costly recurring expense in drifting and Falken Tire wants to reward the drivers and privateer teams who earn their way to the winner’s circle on Falken tires. Formula D drivers can send an inquiry to jbradford@falkentire.com to learn more about registering for the Falken Tire contingency program. Drivers will be required to exclusively use (any) Falken brand tires on all four positions of their vehicle during the entire event. A minimum of a 14” Falken Tire decal must be placed on the front bumper or front hood position as well as a minimum of one 24” Falken Tire logo on both sides of the vehicle. Minimum 1” x 5” Falken Tire brand patch (or embroidery) must be visible on front breast of the driver’s suit. Contingency participants must also display a 2’ x 8’ Falken Tire banner in the driver’s paddock area.
Cash payouts will be as follows-
Formula D rounds 1 - 7
1st - $2,000
2nd -$1,000
3rd - $750
4th - $350
5th - $250
6th - $200
7th - $150
8th - $100
Series Championship
1st - $5000
2nd- $3000
3rd - $2000
