does anyone have any "legitimate" FWD drifting technique, yea I know, everyone will say you can't drift FWD or pull the E-brake, but I am looking for something a bit more advanced. also any AWD techniques would be good to learn,

really??? yea, I searched, and yea it's been covered before. I liked some of what I saw which is why I began a new thread, I wondered if anyone had anything new. the old threads all basically discuss the legitimacy of FWD drifting rather than focusing on techniques

Its tough, most people will say you cant drift a FWD because you cant use the clutch to break traction in the rear.. i dont think thats the real problem, because you can shift the weight and use hard braking to get it to over steer. the real problem is you cant counter steer very much or it will pull you out of the drift. Similar to a AWD car.
I would sugest learning to drift in a rear wheel drive, and if you still want to try it comming back to the front wheel.
edit: Escuse my assumption that you are new to drifting, for all i know you could be very experienced.

thanks, I would prefer drifting a FWD car by shifting the weight rather than E-braking every turn which does work but is slow, by the way I did learn in a RWD car and it is the best way to pick up drifting I agree, but I don't want to be like "sorry I can't drift that corner in your FWD car" I drive with a bunch of guys in integras who drag, erg, they won't switch to a RWD so if I want anyone to drift with I have to show them how to drift thier cars

Oh, how about this?
Hey, heres a thought. I wonder if it's posible to get a front/rear brake proportioning valve for a FF car, that way, when you use the braking tecnique, the rear of the car can be set to have more braking than the front, so its like using a combination of braking/e-brake (but you aren't using the e-brake, you have just set the rear wheels with more braking than the front) what do you think? is this posible?

From what ive seen, you have to use the ebrake to keep the drift going or else the rear tires will get grip and thus ending the drift. You can use weight transfer to break out the rear end, but to keep the drift, you have to keep the rear tires from getting traction, and the only way to do that is to pull the ebrake.

lies lies... all lies... j/k... ok anywayz the brakes in the rear are stronger than the brakes in the front on my car so i dont need a proportioning valve haha! and i have drifted plenty without using the e brake at all... so dont just assume that u need it. as for those vids... i use a digital camera and 33 secs worth of drift usually ends up to be about 10 megs... so i need to find a way to compact it but keep the quality... but i promise ill try to have at least one by monday

jeez...drifting is drifting....doesnt matter what technique you use...this whole crap about "this is, this isnt drifting" is just *Censored**Censored**Censored*. 90% of people who say this dont even drift, except maybe in GT3
and yes you can bring out the rear end on a FWD without ebrake. Stop beleiving everything you read on the internet, go out and just have fun

WHY'D YOU CALL YOURSELF BUKKAKE DRIFTER?
DO YOU REALLY WANT TO BE CALLED THE "GUY WHO LIKE PEOPLE TO BUST A NUT IN HIS FACE" DRIFTER
THE REASON WHY I DONT SUPPORT FWD IS SIMPLE, ITS A WASTE OF SPACE, IT ACTUALLY SLOWS THE CAR DOWN, AND YOU'LL HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ALIGNMENT ALOT MORE THAN I WOULD, CONSIDERING YOU TURNING THE WHEEL WHILE ALSO ACCELERATING ON THAT SAME WHEEL.
bUT HEY THAT JUST ME AND ANY ONE WHO REALLY GIVES A RAT'S A$$.
GO FWD DRIFTING YOU'LL SEE WHAT I MEAN.
