I was at the test day yesterday and here's the scouting report.

                    - Papa Gushi was out in the old green 240sx.

                    - Rhys millen testing the solstice; you won't see this in competition though. he may use it for a taping of jimmy kimmel sat. moring. before the event.

                    - Somebody was driving a bitchin' 240sx w/ a trans am front end conversion. we want to sponsor this guy for next year.

                    - Live Sockets bro kyle mohan tested his personal FC out there and will run it this weekend so come out and cheer for him if you can.

                    - World Challenge driver Pierre Kleinubing is driving the Apex RX7 FD. He's looking pretty good out there but we'll see how he runs tandem if he makes it into the round of 16's.

                    - Alex Pfeiffer was out testing the BRS RX-7 pink widebody FD we assume just for shits and giggles since he's judging the competition this weekend.

                    - Drift Alliance and all the Falken sponsored drivers tested on Tues. but we were lame and missed that. JR says that the mustang is dialed so look out for him come sat.

                    - Sam Hubinette was in the Mopar Viper so we will probably not see the Charger 'til next year.

                    - Team Pac Rim/Rockstar/Nitto - Dai looks good as always. Ben Schwartz has a bad tranny.

                    - Rich Rutherford looked good in the RWD Evo so look for him to bring it this weekend.

                    - Somebody in a white/beige corolla was getting mad angle on the course. Not sure how this car will do against the higher hp cars in tandem though .

                    - We're glad to see the Signal Skyline GT-R was back in action kicking up sick smoke. A few weeks ago this sucker was in pieces at the shop.

                    - Today, is tech inspection and check-in with some more practice sessions scheduled with qualifying on Friday.

                    - Weather looks crappy for Sat. but hopefully the jet stream will knock the low front out of our system quickly. Irwindale's weird so we may not see much of the rain. Regardless, rain or shine; Live Sockets will be there so come by the 247motoring booth and we’ll throw empty beer cans at you.

The weather for sat doesnt look as bad as everyone thinks, it should clear up somewhat after the gates open and should get better from there. The track will be wet through practice but hopefully it will dry up by indo judged runs.
