  • D1GP PREDICTIONS? 16th/17th

What are your predictions for the 16th and 17th

16th: kazama will win, ken will get second clinching the championship. a lot of casualties will lead to drivers driving beat down cars or not driving at all on sunday.

17th: Gitten and Foust will be the boys to beat, a American driver will come out on top. Japanese drivers will start a fight with the American crowd and beat us all to death....lol jk about that.

        Pfeiffer will hit the wall!!!

O wait, that already happened. Maybe it will happen again?

Tanner was definetly the man to beat today. He looks so comfortable in that car. JR will also be one of the top drivers this weekend.

"Backwards" for Round 8 (since round 1 is 'forwards'), and then normal for the AllStar event on Sunday.

Darren McNamara or Damien Mulvey will win..Darren will beat Kazama in the Top 16 anyway and it will be all PRODRIFT final with the SR86 from Ireland and Mr. Mulvey battling it out again for the last time this year...

                  BEST OF LUCK DUDES......

                    Some heads up:

Sam is in the Charger, Nick Hogan is in the Viper, Rhys is in the solstice, Damien Mulvey and Phil Morrison are in borrowed cars.

Technical problems for Ley Djan from Malaysia (Diff), Victor Chapman from NZ (Turbo), Darren McNamara from Ireland (coolant hose), Damien Mulvey from Irl (valve lash in borrowed Signal Auto car), and Chris Forsberg (i believe transmission). All of them were fixed either late in the day, or late last night. None of the UK / Ireland / Malaysian / NZ drivers have experience on a large banked track like this, so it's very new to them. But they are picking it up pretty quickly.

Also, several drivers had brushes with the wall, the Khaki AE / Alex's FD were probably the biggest crashes. JR / Tanner / Ueno / Nomuken are in top form. The other drivers will be there after today's practice.

Saturday's track favors LHD cars. Sunday favors RHD cars. If an American wins, I see it happening Saturday, also since they have more experience at banked tracks and especially Irwindale.

It was sunny and warm yesterday, and should be the same today. Then, cooling off tomorrow, and chance of rain saturday with a higher chance on Sunday. It should be a very interesting weekend!!

Is Ueo in the hachi or the Z?

                              Anyone see Koguchi out yet?

As for predictions, don't underestimate Kumakubo. He and his team want this really bad. I say it's anyone game come Saturday.
