    Predictions

    1st JR
    2nd Foust
3rd Gushi or Sumida, only if sumida stays in the chasser....

I honestly feel this is foust and JRs year, they have been consistant and look confterable in there cars. Plus the two who out placed them last year are in tottaly diferent vehicles that are sureley not dialed in yet.

Thanks for the straight answer, and I do hope you're able to move out the walls leading up to the hairpin a bit more as I think that'd be a good band-aid for the course layout you've got. Interesting that you did test both directions on the course, and in retrospect it does leave guys like Taka (and gals like Hiromi) hanging in the breeze.

Don't get me wrong. I'm looking forward to this event like crazy. With Rhys and Sam in new cars, it really opens the door for a new winner. Quite honestly, I'm looking at Sumida, Gitten, or Gushi for the win, and of the three I think Sumida's due.
You are right though, this event has such a great overall vibe to it, whatever we can do to make the course better, we definitely should. Thanksfully, we have been working with the City of LB and the GP association for some time now and we are getting more freedom as the series has showed some benefits for both of them (I think the ride-alongs for a councilman or two is paying off . So we'll see, we are gonna push for everything we can get and hopefully we can improve. Thanks for the input!

Will the time between the event and the airing of the event be as long as what it was with G4?

Oh man, just wait until the 'new project' drops and you can actually WIN something for having predictions like this

I don't know so much about Gittin as Foust, at least for the Long Beach event.

There's no denying that at rounds like Seattle, Wall, and Irwindale, you have to hand it to Gittin's smoke and breakneck speed. But the Mustang is still not bulletproof (certainly much moreso than Gushi's) and Foust has proven electric on the road course circuits like Sears Point and Road Atlanta. Long Beach, being a street course, is a wild card as circuits go.

Be that as it may, I'll go with the more consistent machinery. Of course, who knows who'll throw us for a loop. Papadakis has been steadily improving, McQuarrie's been plugging away for some time, Calvin Wan is long overdue for a topnotch performance, Gushi might have the bugs worked out.....

McQuarrie is going to be in a new car remember? Hes a good driver but hes going to have growing pains just like Rhys and Sam will this season.

Im putting my money on Foust being the front runner this season. Gitten is good, really good but Foust has come closest to taking the title away and now he has an opening with his two biggest rivals working the kinks out of their new cars.

Gitten and Dai will put serious heat on him..but I think Foust will be the man to beat.

Did you see Vaughn run at long beach? He was very good on the course, lost in the first round one more time against Sam who won it. Sam and JR were mirror too mirror on the first battle but his tranny broke on the one more time.... thats when he was running 700HP at the time I think, they downgraded it the next round.

Tyler has a new car so hes going to be struggling, Wan.... I don't know about wan. That G35 has its on and off days, we will see at long beach how its doing. Gushi is sick, 3rd year in the chassis, second year in the car. Expect him to be on the top of his game... what was up with his car at D1 though. Wasn't looking too good. Hiro is really good, but there only so much he can do with that beat up chaser... isn't that thing on stock block?

Chris Forsberg looked good at D1, lets see if it will cross over too next season. Tony Angelo has a new car I heard, I heard its siiiiiiiiiccccccckkkkkkk. I expect good driving out of him this season, maybe top 10 when its all said and done.
