Go to www.zappos.com type in speedwell under the search. I have the GTRs and the F2s they are great and don't cost a ton.

actually you have to type in gtr under the search to see those they don't pop up with the rest of them.

i've personally had good luck with adidas sambas, indoor soccer shoes. theyre not nomex, and low top, but they allow my ankle the flexibility to heel toe in size 13's. in a miata. heh.

good bang for the buck, esp for causal autocrossing and not looking weird when you roll up to somewhere after a practice session, and hell, you can play soccer in em too!

I was at Taiwan for a week, and they have Nike hi-top racing shoes over there. Asics also seems to have legitimate racing shoes now, too

                An Idea

does anyone remember Water Socks? they were basicly thin shoes, very very thin souls made of a material that wouldnt hold water, they were very light, But at the same time they had traction.

Any one else think these would be cool race shoes? there light, both in weight and feel, they would let you feel threw the peddles and they would be physically small to give you more room down there. Wear them with socks i think they would be good for motor sports. or at least worth a try. Also they were cheap like 10 bucks for a pair.

I actually wear skateboarding shoes to drive, either globes or DC's i find they have pretty grippy soles and whatnot, plus they have a low cut ankle to allow my foot to rotate easily... ok enough b.s. it's cause i normally wear them around town but thinking about it now the above reasons kinda make sense

I normally wear my Vans, which where originally walking shoes and the whole skateboarding thing.. Im not really into those things, but i find them to make an excellent and comfortable shoe. However like the gentlemen with the Miata, i have a size 13 foot and theres not much room left in the S13 for a big *Censored**Censored**Censored* foot like mine. So smaller the better. I think im going to see if i can find anything like those water socks and try them out. Plus its a weight reduction technique... 3 pounds who hoo

do they make any shoes that will make your feet bunch up so there a little smaller
i have 14 us foot and its a *Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored* to move around my feet quick in the floor

I do the wrestling shoe thing (since I am also a wrestling coach at the HS) and they work great. Light weight, great grip, great feel, flexible, very similar to actual racing shoes but less than half the cost.

sz US 13 here too . . . the heel / toe would be better if I was a 10 or so (considering hacking off a few toes) lol.

I have a pair of DVS shoes. There really flexable and low cut. Works well and comfy. Adidas Sambas work well too.
