It’s going to be interesting to find out how the series standings turn out after this one.
I’m sure the gap between 1st an 2nd has widened significantly, giving Foust an even greater possibility of taking the Series championship without having to win a single event. The 2nd and 3rd spread is going to be extremely tight. Hopefully Forsberg holds on, even if only by a little in preparation for a much better day at the House of Drift. Both Dai and Millen really showed their stuff today, proving that the 3rd and 4th place contenders are fully worthy of a place at the top. Looks like both Foust and Forsberg better be at the top of their game come October, or the hard work of the past could easily be lost.
Congratulation to Dai for a spectacular performance, joining Forsberg as the only drivers to take two wins this season.
I must say that I expected very little from the new Porsche during it’s inaugaral season, but as demonstrated in Sonoma, 4th place seems to be reserved lately for new cars. Kudos must go to McQuarrie and his tech team for this spectacular introduction of Porshe to Formula D.
