yup, copied and pasted from the site, hope that's ok....
Mike Peters stated in a statement today that he will be stepping down from NOPI drift as a judge and licensing coordinator. "At this point in time, I believe that NOPI does not want to invest money into hiring the proper personnel to run a top-level drift series". Stemming from the first event of the season in Moroso and after numerous discussions with the NOPI Drift staff since then, Peters feels that this is the only option at this point in time.
After the Moroso event, Peters took a lot of blame for the chaos and confusion at the event, but cited that there was a lack of support staff and logistics which were to be provided to him by NOPI, and doesn't feel that the problem is being rectified. He has even speculated that in an attempt to keep spending low, NOPI may not attempt to replace him, leaving only 2 judges for the series, leaving only Matt Petty and Rob Fleming. NOPI Drift's 2nd round of competition is set to take place this coming Saturday in St Louis, Missouri.

Mike definitely took a lot of heat but some of it was deserved and some of it was not. I can only hope NOPEE will pull it's head out and make the proper investments to better their "series".
Matt Petty is more than competent to run the series if he has the proper budget.
