  • Possible 2nd Mopar driver?

I just saw this article by Bill Woods saying that Rally Driver Andrew Comrie-Picard has tested in the Mopar Viper had spent a lot of time talking to the team manager at LB.

Theres no definate conclusion at the end of the article but it seems like there is a possibility that Sam will have a teammate in the near future.

    Here's the article: http://automotive.speedtv.com/articl...sance-man//P1/

ACP is not driving for us, he tested one day in the Viper at El Toro. He did a fair job, but his sponsor didn't come through, so he won't be driving the second car this year..

Ah ..well hey hows it going..

So is it at the point where drivers have to bring in money to get onto a team? Or is it just a case by case basis?

I can't speak for other teams, but for us, it is certainly a case by case.. ACP obviously has the right kind of resume, and he is a great guy, but we weren't necessarily looking for a second driver. Had his sponsorship deal gone through, we would have run two cars, but that had not been the plan. As you can imagine, last year was VERY expensive (both in $$ and stress) with all of the wrecked Viper parts and developing a new platform. This year the plan is to run one car, focus on another championship, and have some fun!

PRO drivers WILL win drift races.
it is a good recipe for winning at drift racing.
